When MMJ patients get arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to sell the bond is $30,000.

How come cocaine possession with intent is only $25,000?

I've occasionally smoked MJ, recreationally and never before work, driving, etc. It gives a buzz, much like a cocktail. Meth would give an entirely different high (I assume) and I am unsure as to why a person who enjoys a downer every once in a while would want an upper? Legitimately curious, please no namecalling or infantile behavior.

I like your message!! I do happen to believe that some people use MMJ for real medical reasons, but the majority of people around here use for fun and for $$. I do know that many also use meth. Some people here have "standards" and limit themselves to using/selling pot only, but I know of many who use/sell anything. People get to a point where it doesn't matter what it is as long as they get high or make a $$!!

My kids "mom" (I'm the full time mom, but a step-mom) started off with weed (parents are growers) and is now a 48 y/o alcoholic and meth addict. I know not everyone turns out like that, but she did. I know some people who smoke for the fun of it occasionally and are tax paying working residents. But, in her case, it was a gateway drug that she started using as a young teen and it only got worse. I've seen this woman's life go down the drain. Too sad. If it a gateway drug for even one person then that's one too many because her one life and effected many... and not for the better.

Drug dealers with "standards" (high?)... what a concept.

I have a family member who is a meth-head and when they can't score meth, they always come home with Marijuana.... Why Marijuana? Because as we all know, there is an abundance of Marijuana on our streets and just about anyone can score it these days.

We all have our vices... Meth, Pot, Alcohol, Food, Sex... some just happen to be illegal.

High? Not me! Is it not part of the human phenomenon to think that it is alright what you are doing because there is someone doing something worse? Justification. Especially in the mind of someone who is using drugs. It's like, "I'm just using a little."

i am glad they set this JUNKIES bail at the same as a MMJ patient i know a 65 year old that was arrested and he only had about a half pound and at the time he was growing within the LEGAL limits set in mendocino county. and the other guy the one with the track marks goes free WTF. our tax dollars at work for sure. whats next are you going to let rapists and pedophiles out on there own too. shame on you cops fight some REAL crime.
