Jimmy had no gun because he wasn't a coward like mike marlin. do you really think if there was any proof jimmy had a gun that the police wouldn't have found it. you are pitiful. Jimmy didn't beat her up, she ran up behind him and jumped on his back one of the witness said he didn't think jimmy knew it was a woman because she came up behind him. he reached back grabbed the person and threw them off of him. if jimmy would have beat on her there would have been real injuries. You are one sad SOB. It sounds to me like you are just one more person who crossed jimmy and got your butt kicked and you weren't man enough to face him but now that he is dead you have plenty to say. I’ve decided I am not finished yet, all testimony from Kelly Marlin that was taken when being questioned by the WPD was NOT allowed, the only testimony from her that was allowed was what they called excited utterances like when she said “My son did it he F-ing shot him.” In case you didn’t know the DA has no control over the testimony the judge has the final say as to what can and cannot be presented. The DA like the defense attorney can object to certain things but the judge has the final say. The person who said the grandmother was there, was talking about Michael Murder Marlin’s grandmother not his mother so guess they aren’t clueless. As far as Jill running for office haven’t heard that one but let me clue you in on this Jill did a wonderful job by the book no lies like the defense. I don’t know where you get the idea that Jimmy was drinking buddies with any of the WPD those guys would have arrested him in a heartbeat if he had beaten Kelly Marlin like all you Marlin lovers keep stating. If Kelly had kept her nose where it belonged and not jumped on Jimmy’s back none of this would have happened. He didn’t even know who had jumped on him he just reached back and threw her off unfortunately for her she face planted into a fence, oh but it didn’t end there every time he tried to walk away she grabbed him he finally put his foot on her hip and pushed her up against a car and told her to leave him the F alone. So put the blame where it really belongs and it doesn’t belong on my son. No one on the Marlin side thought a jury would convict a man for defending his Mother. If in fact Marlin had been defending his mother (which he wasn’t) he probably would have gotten manslaughter or been acquitted. The fact is these people Michael and his mother sat not but one ½ block from where Jim’s car had been parked all day. Funny they left the Pizza parlor at the same time Jimmy picked his car up to go home. He had only been home a couple of minutes when this all took place. Does the fraise LAYING IN WAIT mean anything to you? This death threat thing is getting boring wish you people could come up with something else. Why didn’t Michael’s brother testify? He was there!! You Marlin lovers can say all you want to about Jimmy. Yes he had a reputaion, yes some people feared him, and yes he liked to fight...but he liked to fight with his fist. No matter what he did or didn't do to Marlin's mother (pushed her, slapped her, kicked her, what ever) he didn't use a weapon and he didn't kill her.
If we are going to have disputes...lets go back to doing it OLD SCHOOL...you know good ole fashion street fighting.
Jimmy was a tough guy. Marlin had checked around and knew that. His skinny little ass wouldn't have been able to take Jimmy and he knew it. So he knew he could defend his mother's so called honor fist to fist, so he took a gun to a fist fight. But first he had to get his liquid courage. He wasn't even man enough to defend his mother sober. But enough of Marlin. He getting whats coming to him.
Jimmy's mom...your son was a fine young man. Those that truly knew him will always remember that about him. You raised a fine son, and you taught him well. The evidence was those that he helped in their time of need. You taught him respect. To get it, you give it...and Jimmy gave respect to those that respected him.
So you don't have to defend your loving son any longer. Those that write negative comments about him didn't know him. Jimmy liked fighting his own battles...he wouldn't want you to do it for him. Its very easy for all these people to say negative things when the person is not here to defend themselves. Jimmy loved you very much and he would want you to move on. Focus on your life and the granddaught he left you.
You and your whole family are a class act. I'm proud to say I know the Silva family. Waist no more time on these people here...its not worth it. On September 2, 2008, it will be done. Justice will be served.

You would have to be in my shoes to know what it does to a mom to loose her baby. I defend Jim because that is all I have left to do for him and because I know the truth and the true Jimmy. His baby girl is my main focus these days she is a beautiful blonde headed wild one. So much like her daddy takes no crap from anyone. Will look ya in the eye and tell it like it is. I will leave this thread as soon as the Marlin Lovers stop talking about things they know nothing about. I will be glad the day Michael Murder Marlin goes to prison where he belongs. you know nothing of Jimmy's life or his family. Jimmy had the Redenuis last name only. Jimmy was raised by his mother, he is part of the SILVA family. The Redenius family dosen't even live around here any more. Jimmy had no idea who the marlin's were. The SILVA faimly had no idea who the marlin's were. It would be a little hard to threaten people you don't even know. We didn't even have any idea what these people looked like until we saw the brother, and the grandmother in court. The SILVA family are five women, we all work hard for a living, and take care of our children. We don't have the time or the need to run around threatening people. The Redenius family hasn't lived around here for 10 years or more. Some of them came for the funeral and left right after the services they didn't even stay for the stunt show and dinner in Jimmy's honor. As for Jimmy's friends I'm sure they would have loved to avenge Jimmy's death but they all love Jimmy's mom and she asked them to let the law handle it and they did. So I would just like to tell you to quit spreading lies about our family we are in enough pain. Oh and as far as Jimmy having a gun, that is a big lie Jimmy never owned a gun he didn't feel a need for one. Jimmy handled his problems like a man. Not a coward like marlin. Hello mondo hill child I am Jimmy's aunt sherry. It sounds like you have lost some one very dear to you. I am so sorry no one should have to feel this pain. I still can't even think about our Jimmy without crying. Our family loves each other so very deeply it sounds like you have had the same love in your life. Some times I feel like the pain in my heart will drive me over the edge and I can't begin to understand the pain my sister is going through, all I know is all I can do is continue to love her with all my heart. I just want to let you know that people like you help to replace some of the warmth in her heart that has been ripped away by Jimmy's death. You are doing a miraculous job at keeping your composure.I am proud of you...and Jimmy would be too.That's why sons love their mom so much.I never knew Jimmy, but a lot of my friends did.I'm sure there are stories out there, but when it comes down to it-even I know that this did not have the right outcome, and Jimmy was at least respectable enough to fight like a man.I have a family member that arrived on scene shortly after the crime was committed.That family member told us how brave and manly he was...and that he even cracked a couplke jokes..That in itself tells me that he was a man with a lot of love and a good heart.

Hi sammy how's it going? Haven't heard from you for awhile not that I want to. Did some one blow your cover? Don't worry the Silva family hasn't threatened any one nor will we. We aren't about that it's just a rumor put out by the marlin's. What I really wanted to know is if you are the brother of the guy that attacked Jimmy with three other friends of his. You know they knocked Jimmy unconcious with a bottle then kept kicking him and breaking bottles on his head until some other guys stopped them. Jimmy suffered a concusion that could have killed a person that didn't have Jimmy's strenght. if you are who I think you are I hear your brother is now in Pelican Bay locked up in the shoe and will never get out. You must be a friend or relative of the marlin family. You obviously don't live any where around here. I can understand you trying to defend your family or friends, but not at the cost of my murdered nephew. Jimmy never owned a gun. He didn't even own a pocket knife. Jimmy had no drinking buddies at the police dept. you are apparently getting confused about who had the alcohol problem. Kelly Marlin (the mother not the grandmother) was the one who was drunk and urinated in her pants. She was drunk at the bar and drunk four nights later when she drove her son over to Jimmy's house to murder him in cold blood. Oh by the way not only did marlin's grandmother testify in court, his brother was put on the stand out side of the jurys presences, but he was unable to keep the lies he was telling in order so the defence refused to put him on the stand in front of the jury. So much for your claim that the marlin's were in such fear for their lives that they didn't come to testify. So now explain where dear ole mom was and why she didn't testify. The defence didn't want her there because the statments she made to the police the night of the murder would have sent marlin to prison even faster then he is headed there now and he is headed there. Some thing else that never fails to amaze me is how you peolpe continue to bring up the pot plants that were all of an inch or so tall that Jimmy had in his gargage. You keep trying to claim he had to have a gun because he had pot plants. You people are to much. A hugh part of Mendo Co. residents grow pot plants rangeing from 18 to 70. They don't own guns nor did Jimmy. It was mike marlin who has a felony conviction for selling hard drugs not Jimmy. John Laughlin wrote: The grandmother that I was referring to is Kelly Marlin. She did, at the cost of Justice. The people calling for restitution to the people hurt by Redenius and receiving zero help from Jim's drinking buddies at the police station are right on. There's nothing said here that won't be proved in time.

In my last entry I forgot to mention that while on the stand that sub human mike marlin testified that he and his good ole mom had to drive past Jimmy's house to go to his brothers house which is a lie. The pizza parole they were at is on main street in willits the easeist way to his brothers house would be to drive directly down main street and take a left at the post office. They took the back streets that you had to take to get to Jimmy's home which by the way did not face the street they were on. You have to turn onto a small alley way to get to Jimmy's home. The only reason I can think of (other than to go murder my nephew) that they would drive so far out their way on the back streets, is to avoid the police because as usual they were DRUNK. Oh by the way at the time of my nephews murder there were no substances of any kind in his system, because he dosen't use drugs unlike your sub human friend or relative what ever the case may be. All of the Marlin family wishes the Redenius family all of the peace and all of the best in their lives, Mike Marlin feels the same. This is the saddest day for both families.
