Precious Baby Died in Crittenden

Not to be the asshole here- but no one here has mentioned the fact that this child was ALONE in a store with a stranger? Where were this girls parents? Why were they not watching her like a hawk?

Nor does anyone happen to pick up on the fact that it didn't make news? ANY type of ordeal like this makes local news or at least you hear it on the grapevine-- especially in Walton!

My mother-in-law works at the bank across the street from this place and never saw or heard an ambulance, never heard anything from her co-workers about this alleged story, nothing happened.

I'm smelling a fib here, or an over-exaggerated bump on the head.

The parents were not together. The dad was at work, and the mom was at at funeral. She was left with the Mom's boyfriend.
I promise you this was anything but an over-exaggerated bump on the head. THIS WAS MURDER...
It happened on a Sunday so the bank would not of been open. He was arrested a month after the fact and it was on the news.

The last thing I am trying to do is be rude. My family takes this very serious. When the facts come out it will be so nice to have it out in the open. It is to hard to state anything when you can't give the facts.

Not sure why someone is questioning this as if it happened yesterday. It happened several months ago. Not only was the arrest all over the internet, but it was on the local news. Check out the Grant County Detention Center website. The accused is listed as an "inmate" with the charge of "murder". I assure you this is no "fib" nor an "over-exaggerated bump on the head". This baby died!!!!!!!!! There was an ambulance, internet & TV news and a funeral --- how much more do you want??? Please "google" the offender's name before you go calling this a "fib" or simply "pick up on the fact" that you are a little too late to see February's local news.

Give it time...the facts that cannot be released now will be released at the time of the trial.

It will out come out during the trial.. Then no one will wonder if he did it or not... BUT WE ALL KNOW HE DID!!!

Once again it looks like the trial is going to be postponed till the end of Oct. I honestly just want this over with; it’s too hard trying to move on with our lives with this hanging over our heads. I have come to the realization that no matter what happens, nothing with be enough punishment. Nothing will ever bring her back to us, on a good note though she will be in our memories and our hearts forever. We miss & love you Kiara Jae.

What is a 17 year old doing with a child in the first place? What is a 17 year old doing dating a 24 year old man? This man was not the father? Where was the father in all this? Seems as if someone needs to learn to employ a bit of self control (if not birth control!)

Joey you are right, this is very tragic. It does not matter what anyone says, what matters it we get justice for Kiara. She will always be loved and missed.

I would never have thought that such a simple holiday like Halloween would be so hard. Last year Kiara was a flower and she was so beautiful and perfect. This year she most likely would have been able to pick out her own costume. Makes me wonder would she be the little girl that wants to be a princess, witch, super hero, or maybe an animal?
It sucks so bad that we will never know and I hate that I can't even enjoy the kids dressing up because it eats up my insides.
I would do anything to have her back for all of us.
Whoever said it gets easier with time, lied. I can't even handle the thought of Halloween, let alone her Birthday in Dec and let’s not forget Christmas. Then we have the one year Dooms day Jan 4, then the trial on Jan 20th.
I don't think I am going out on a stretch when I say 2010 is going to suck as bad as 2009.

You was 17 and he was 24 and the only acceptance was found through close friendship with others. Not the parents, not the elders in your family, not anyone with half a lick of sense would justify your mating game.

So, you rolled the dice and cost yourself a kid. The Good Lord protects the young and innocent from further danger, and that is exactly what seems to be the case at this point. I can't tell you how shameful it seems to see anyone represent the death of a loved one, bleed out in a public journal wanting acceptance for your actions, your justifications that "thy deed is done" in your personal misgivings. The Lord, through divine intervention has removed a child from you. You have to accept this in your life. You need to grow up, grow into a mature woman that doesn't ignore the past mistakes. You was doing things at your age that disrespects your family and the moral fabric of women, being so shameful at a young age, dirty you are.

Please, write a reason on a public message why you take personal responsibility for your mistakes, why you think your parade now means anything, because you CERTAINLY did not care this much about your child before this death entered your life.

I feel your anger, and you make some very valid points, however, I believe that you are mistaken about who is updating this blog.. All of these messages are updated by this child's paternal grandmother and I think your anger is misdirected and misguided..

As for calling Kiara "monkey", that is a lovey nickname that our family (especially her paternal grandparents) had for her from almost the day she was born, always their "little monkey".. I have ones for my children and I am sure that you do for your children/grandchildren also.

My God does not command that babies be murdered, tortuted or suffer the way that our angel did. Please do not tie a loving, forgiving and all-powerful God, like the one I worship, to murder, hatred, grief and such sorrow..It is blasphemy, in my opinion..

Here is what I can tell you about what I believe our God wants us to do...to "judge not, lest ye be judged" and "love one another as I have loved you"...Please be for us and not against us, in this fight for justice for an innocent child that was cruelly taken by a selfish man in this cruel world..That is not the work of God, it is the work of the devil...

And so, next time you watch your television, or go to a store, or drive down the street and see a monkey decal, or reference, or character, smile and remember fondly what a light this world has lost...that is what we do when we refer to our "monkey"...please stand with us, it is cold and lonely over here on the side of right and we need more good people to shine truth and help us get justice...
