Grocery owner faces molestation charges

The paper prints a column that a potential child molestor lives among us and there are no comments!! What is this world coming to? Or should I say, are you all on his payroll?

Dear Whitestown, People who live in glass houses should not throw rocks at others... You have a multitude of Child Molesters in your neighborhood in Boone County. Go to the child molester registry. Or... Why don't you go out and troll Boones Pond? Oh, or are you on their payroll?

What is the point of commenting when a better way of showing your displeasure is shopping elsewhere?

Of course shopping elsewhere would also close the stores and a lot of people would lose their jobs.

It's not the fault of the people that work there. This has nothing to do with them. Besides where else would you shop in Danville?

I am sure the store is covered because didn't his parents die in an accident and he got the store. I would imagine that there is someone to take over. Danville needs both of the County Markets

yeah but the lady that jeff was married to is just now complaining about it.

Yeah we have a Walmart, but I prefer not to shop there for groceries. Especially produce and I buy a lot of that

It's my understanding this was reported in 10/06 and given over to Fountain County Prosecutors office some time in late 06 or early 07. Also there are other victims that are either to young to testify or just now coming to light.

When the Danville stores were built was there not flyers put on car windows about his six months in the PSB?

Crawfordsville, IN and Danville, IL both have Walmart. www.judici.com states he was charged with three felonies and one mistermeanor then plea bargined down to the mistermeanor and served six months in the PSB whatever that is, I'm assuming a facility. Because he plea bargined down he did not have to regerister as a sex offendor.... HE NEEDS STOPPED.

I can assure you I'm not on that payroll.

I know someone close that used to date him and he was creepy then. He was also a control nut and on drugs I hear.

That's hearsay and gossip. The facts are he was arrested for child molestation and the rest doesn't matter.

Crawfordsville? Are you refering to the charges that originated from 1991? I read through that felony charge and I see that the mittimus was repeatedly stayed and he served two years of probation, but if you look at disposition, there was a charge that suggested this was his 2nd offense of criminal assault/can't consent which was a class X felony yet it along with the two other felony counts were DISMISSED. The only charge he pled guilty to was criminal sexual abuse/force 1st offense and he didn't even do the 6 months in the PSB (Public Safety Building = County Jail) because that mittimus was stayed. It was stayed until March 29th and on April 5th he was temporarily released from incarceration (I'm led to believe that he spent 4 days from the amended mittimus issued on April 1st to his "temporary release" the 5th) but I do not see where he was returned to incarceration for the balance of that 6 month sentence. I'm curious to know why they dismissed that class X 2nd offense (= repeat offender). I have to wonder now how the states attorney's office feels knowing they allowed a sex offender to strike again, and I have no proof but I'd say it was going on in the interim = 17 years.

Amy, you sound like you have a background in law. I'm just a common folk whom knows little about the legal system. I do know for a fact he served six months. I do know for a fact most was kept off of the front page of the commercial news due to the fact his father threatened to pull all advertising dollars. I had a friend bring to my attention that he is on classmates.com and is now accusing his wife of extorion for a million dollars. Yet when doing research on his company I see he made in the upper millions through his company. Why then, I would ask myself she would simply be asking for only a million. Plain and simple,... what looks like a duck and walks like a duck HEIS A CHILD MOLESTOR and needs stopped

His wife says he raped his own little boy too. 3 yrs old.
I hope she and the children get everything he has while he rots in jail.

This is another case of what happens when parents of grown children come to the rescue of adult children. His parents should not have helped him in the early 90's, and then these kids would not have had to go thru this.
