What if that were youre dad and they choked him and abused him and i think they all need to lose their jobs and the old man gets a fortune out of what they did to this helpless man. Did it really take that many men to put their hands on him? C J Sammons needs his old ass fired to for standing there and watching it. I hope Eugene's officers never do this to an elderly person or anyone that isn't doing anything wrong. Joe Smith, What a christian.They all need fired.

First of all, all these guys are going to still be deputies. Eugene is not going to get rid of them
Second, I heard election night James smith met with Eugene and a deal was made , he, James would remain as chief. Hmmm, that is why james sold out his so called buddy Lonnie.
Eugene don't trust him, if he sells out one he will do Another
The team can't afford not to keep James because of the number that came in for him.
They can use him and his constitutes next election.

I watched the video and for one thing you can tell that it is doctored because there are delays in it. Maybe someone cut out the part where the old druggie swung the cane at them. I see nothing wrong with the officers doing there job.

seriously? apparently we didnt watch the same video...i believe the deputies were in the right for once! MY GOD look at everything they deal with on a day to day basis and then for an older gentleman to try to attack them? i would have done the same thing. they did not beat the man they were trying to keep him from hitting them!! come on James is actually a good man now and he trys his best to do what is right. leave him along all he is trying to do is his job but people do everything they can to make it impossible! follow the law and and he will leave u alone if u dont then no wonder u dont like him!!

Eugene cant fire the deputies without just cause. They are civil service employees. I am shure when he takes office he will not allow any of the crap that has gone on under Lonnie, to continue. He will demand all citizens be treated fairly and with respect.

I agree. They need demoted to turd duty and if Eugene lets their sorry a s s e s stay on, setting in the libary, wasting taxpayer dollars then it just goes to show you he's just like them.

This election was a referendum on Lonnie's department and if the new sheriff does not clean it up then next one will see him sitting otuside looking in.

The old man never once tried to do anything to them. He was leaving, on his own. He can' even walk without the cane and they literally took away his right of mobility.

I heard this is going to federal court so they better get their vaseline ready.

Thank God someone on here is trying to explain how it has to work... However I do think that Eugene will do what is right when it comes to the thugs in the MSD..BUT everyone plz keep in mind he cant just fire them there is a process that has to be followed.. but at least thats way more then has been done by lonnie...
