Ben's Hobby Computers

If you want to support a convicted sex offender who has also been involved with a lawsuit filed by Microsoft (distribution of infringing software), take your business to Ben's Hobby Computers in Zebulon, Georgia. Ben Hunton promotes his shop as being a member of the Better Business Bureau, though he is not. I have done business with him, not knowing what I was getting myself into. He didn't fix the problem with my pc (it's worse now than what is was originally) and refuses to stand behind his work. He is provoked to anger very easily (I've been on the receiving end in his shop in front of other customers)and once he has gotten your money, he shows his true colors. This is the link to the GBI sex offender registry site. He was convicted in 2001 -- but wasnt registered until 2008.....wonder why he wasnt put in jail for not registering, I thought the law required all sex offenders to register when convicted or released...hell, he was never incarcerated for this either. Ben IS a crook. I know from first hand experience, and also from an ex-employee of his.

Ben has sold me a crap computer before. His being a registered sex offender aside, he's not very trustworthy. His work is subpar at best.

This makes me sick to my stomach.
People pretend this man did nothing wrong, but he did. Ask the young girl he did this to and she'll tell you that her life hasn't been the same.
And while you are at it ask the young girl that the good preacher in Thomaston,Ga. about how her life has been since he(Charles Bennett) molested her back before he had to register as a sex offender, but all is well with him, cause he is now married to his 4th wife and preaching every Sunday.
Stupid people still go hear him talk about how to live, but ask the girl which was his step daughter at the time about how she has been doing since Charles Bennett did this to her.
As for Ben Hutton, close his business down and show him how it feels not to have a life anymore and please quit supporting this man and Charles Bennett.

I think he should spend the rest of his crappy life in jail. any man that would molest a child should be beaten then hung. its ok though the good lord sees and knows all.

Just like everyone else I am disgusted by this case. It goes to show if you have a little bit of money you can buy your way out of anything. I have lived in Pike County for many years . I have also let Ben work on one of my computers. When I got it back it never worked the same again. This also concerns me cause I have four daughters and two granddaughters as far as I am concerned this degenerate does not deserve to to walk the same streets. There has been no mention of this but a few years back he was selling direct television cards. He was somehow changing the cards he charge 400.00 to get all the channels possible the card would work for a few days. then for no reason at all the card would not work anymore Ben had no explanation and refused to honor the product for a refund.

Ive been doing business with Ben's for along time.. I havent ever had any problems with ben's.
I've heard of his past, but you dont believe the papers and if anyone knows the truth i remember when the girl was working for him and working with the technitions at the time.. They had fired the girl and the family was basically suing for money..Other than that Ive sent several people to ben's as well as my family and church. Ive watched Ben's over the years and they're always donating computers to those in need as well as churchs and to cancer related kids / burned victims. I remember seeing the paper.. that ben's donated a computer to a foundation for a dakota girl and remembering see that the computer had made around $10,000 in donations from raffle tickets.. wow.. But ben's has always been good service to my friends and family over the years and they stand by their work if there are any problems.

Ben - really you don't have to hide your name as James Johnson!

My dealings with him have been nothing but negative. He sold me a laptop which quit working after 3 months (I only used it for business correspondence while out of town). Now I have to purchase another one - He refused to "stand by his work". I will definately take my business elsewhere for any future needs. I refuse to help line the pockets of a sex offender.
I can't help but wonder if James Johnson is in fact Ben. The first and only time I was in his shop, he screamed at another customer. He kept rambling about how he's such an upstanding citizen for donating pc's. Well, as they say, the proof is in the pudding!

Ben's Has donated to our church for several years, Ive never had any problems with him. Everytime I go into their shop they're always busy. The only thing bad I see about ben is that he works that technition "Justin" to death and his coworker doesnt work as much lol.

I also remember the Dakota fundrasier as well. It brought tears to my wife and I.

lol i remember goin to school with justin when he was workin wit his dad, and everytime i came into da shop they was busy.. mr ben seems like a nice guy.. othr dan workin justin to death lol and dat brad he mumbles thats the only bad thing i see with ben he should get rid of dat brad guy..

they fixed my laptop for me and didnt charge because dat guy Clint at Zion Computers over charged me and charged me $45.. just to look at it.. Ben and Justin felt like he charged enough from everyone lol.. and they dont charge to check out computers..

Ya that sounds like something ben and them would do, thier so called local "competitor" ripped alot of local customers.

From what I can tell he is a nice guy. Computers are not an exact science so I can understand if problems occur or storms cause problems or kids or adults cause viruses. Years ago I heard about the other issues but all of it revovled around the girls family needing money. The family didnt get a dime. The mid/late teens female in question had many questionable relations during that time and is now happily married with children. Greed brought on by needy parents caused the entire story to grow larger and larger. Bens is still the best place to go to- he has showed my family nothing but good nature and our community has many CURRENT issues we should address.

lol sounds like to me michael that the family of the so called victim.. sold their girl away from $10,000 bc if it was me, their wouldnt be a price on it thats good enough.

10,000 settlement lol.. sounds like the family was just suing to get some money out of ben's family lol..
