Aaron and Rebecca Dow get more "donations" from the City to run their little groups than anyone else.

I agree no Whiteheads. That family has had enough opportunity to run things, and they've helped run it into the ground.

I fear Millie McLeod will be just like Steve and doesn't have the courage for the hard work necessary to fix the mess our Commissioners have gotten us into.

its funny how the people who don't work, or are underemployed, snipe at the ones who bust their hump to try and make something happen. like the protestors at "occupy magnolia". I'm guessing not one doesn't live off the government or a woman.

Dow is a member of the WalMarNacle church, just a name to replace Montgomery, with the same theme of siphoning off the City's utility income into her church. The Dows don't know the meaning of the term "separation of church and government".

I guess this one has not gotten much attention, but it looks like when it comes to the tough choice of choosing from not too many outstanding choices, Mccloud does have some experience with the Utility Board and knows about the poor state of our infrastructure. Maybe she will at least push to get that taken care of as a priority. Maybe she will say no to some of the frivilous stuff, and we have to remember, there is going to be a new crop who may also say no. I think that is a factor for all of the candidates who are not part of the old guard. If they all get in we may have a chance that none of them will just go along with the p-i-t-s line and finally work together to clean up the City and boot HSLD out of the manager's office and the airport advisory board.

Millie can't take on the massive egos of lawyers, developers and miners. She got off of the Utility Board as soon as she realized they weren't going to consider making any changes. They refused to consider recharging the aquifer by means of intelligent engineering, weren't going to do renewable energy by sustainable means, and weren't going to do anything within a reasonable budget. She approved resource abuse along with the others. She couldn't motivate that board, so she won't do right on the City Commission. Her record speaks for her: Wimpy.

What happened to position 4? I can't find it. Did someone get their feelings hurt because they were losing? It seems that one had the candidate with the biggest war chest and out of town backing.

position 4 still will not come up. Can someone find out what happened to it and can the moderator get it back on? Has there already been some election violations from Mulcahy?
