Agreed!!! My neighborhood looks so trashy right now with people painting their houses green, pink, grey, brown, etc. Next color I will see is a blue house. I thought that is what a homeowners association was supposed to prevent. Weed are everywhere, except my house,and I got a weed notice. I don't even have one weed in my front or back yard!!!

I agree, too, but what happened?

It's a shame that those of us paying our HOA fees, and who are original homeowners, cannot get reasonable service from the HOA.

And why do I have to pay $100 for a pool key? If I turn in my old pool key, can I have a new one? Haven't I already paid $$$Thousands in HOA fees? Ridiculous!!!!!

Along those same lines... what happened to the HOA standards on unused vehicles? I've got 4 within sight on my street, 3 on the curb and 2 of those with cobwebs on the tires! Now that more real estate agents are driving buyers through the neighborhoods, it makes the place look less attractive to see see vehicles covered in dirt and cobwebs right next to folks to clean their yard and maintain the "curb appeal". I know times are hard for everyone and most of my street is rentals, but isn't that where an HOA was to step in and help maintain their standards? Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but that's my 2 cents.

My experience has been positive. They are easy to reach and have been quick to repsond and resolve issues.

I will be moving to surprise in the near future. This is making me a little nervous...

I haven't even moved in and I have been vandalized by two broken windows at my expense...

If the HOA isn't reliable, then why aren't you attending the HOA meetings? I go and there are maybe 5 residents attending the meetings. Quit complaining and get involved.

Management company has been forward thinking and takes action to manage responsibly. Very happy! No increases next year on Assessments!

What are we paying HOA dues for? Houses look like they are falling down, yards are full of weeds, parks are dull and basic, our mailboxes are old and have no security, anyone can walk by and steal our mail. Where is all our money going? And boy is the property management company quick to collect your money. Lonestar PM needs to use our money in better ways and upgrade our community.
