Festival celebrates Peruvian Independence

The party itself ("Cecilia Barraza live at City of Industry") was a blast.

All the kids bought tee-shirts saying, "I'm not only cute, I'm PERUVIAN too!"

One guy was wearing a tee-shirt saying "mas Peruana lo que Lomo Saltado". I'm more peruvian than Lomo Saltado, a stir-fry with marinaded beef strips, onions, bell peppers, and leftover french-fries.

My daughter put a down-payment on a lap-rat chihuahua.

The food was awesome - most of our favorite Peruvian restaurants represented.

You haters are free to live in a hell of your own imagination. The rest of us are indeed here to make love, not war.

really on 2009 July 4th is celebrated everywhere
I was watching 4 different firework shows at the same time. not enough people with money cared that montebello cancelled their fireworks or else they would have had one. stop crying over spilled milk. Go to Disneyland they have 2 firework shows a night.

now.... what places have Peru festival? I heard some sports arena in LA and somewhere in City of Industry???

As for me and my family, we are looking forward the peruvian celebration. Great people, great food, great music. Tell me again where is it at? Who is puting it together and at what time should we arrive.

De los placeres sin pecar
El mas dulce es el cagar
Con un periodico extendido
Y un cigarrillo encendido

Si quieren mas poemas como este van a tener que ponerse en fila. Este poema de las propias entranas de "el gringo" acaba de se publicado en el Diario de alta circulacion "El Comercio". El nombre de el Gringo es Jorge Vasquez Huachafo. Vasquez por el padre y Huachafo por la madre.

oYE PUES QUE LINDA LA gLORIA, the happy person. Que tanto preguntas babosa, anda que ya todo esta pagado y llenate los cachetes de comida gratis y empieza a mover las mandibulas y cuando te pregunten porque comes tanto y tan rapido diles que estas embarazada y no sabes de quien y lo unico que sabes es que tienes que comer fuerte para los trillizos que ya se te vienen.
Mientras tanto y para amenizar esta prestigiosa fiesta sugiero que te aprendas de memoria el poema de Jorge Vasquez "el gringo" y recites sus palabras desde el podium para que no mas sepan acerca de este poema que ya ha sido premiado por lo fino que es y porque toca a todos; peruanos, negros, maricas , indiacos, cholos, apestosos y de todos los demas.

A toda la gente que veas recitales el peoma de Jorge Vasquez "el gringo" y diles que esta ocupacion que tenemos nos iguala a todos, piojosos.

In my honest opinion y believe everybody should disrespect each other in and during the celebration of October Fest, the colombian Fest and the Chicho Fest. By the way "veteran" doesn't mean nationality. It means that he (el supuesto father, who knows?) may have served in one of the Armed Forces and I do not have to speak three languages to understand that the mother is italian and the presunto father is un boludo africano. Are you 3 years in this country hablando 8 idiomas,ten paciencia uno de estos dias te puedes convertir en una viuda y hacer a better segundo matrimonio. This country as you said is F.......and in my honest opinion is because the faulty peruvians que vienen a esta tierra, especialmente las mujeres apestando a rodilla (que es un olor entre chucha y pezunas)armadas de unas tremebundas patotas, piernas chuecas, color cetrino, no busto de que hablar, no trasero que mencionar ademas de ser huachafas y sin dientes. La verdad me importa un carajo el 5 de mayo, yo no soy mejicano ni pienso serlo y si a mi me hubiera pasado eso (ser mexicano) hubiera cometido suicidio ya nomas, chorreada. Buena suerte en tu segundo matrimonio y no olvides que quien lo hereda no lo hurta despistada gangrenosa.

What a crock. Montebello cancelled their July 4th celebration, foregoing the fireworks because of money concerns. I wonder just how much this un-American festival cost? " ... it unites the Peruvian community". How about uniting with the AMERICAN community instead? Otherwise, you will continue to make OUR country into the same third world pig sty that Peru is. Thank you for that.
