S c u m bags killing s c u m bags. I have no problems that. Usually these guys are terrible shots and they end up killing an innocent person. At least their aim was true.

Why so much toleration? If these type of shootings were occurring in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, politicians and the Chief of Police would be all over the news, but what do they care if it happens in La Puente, Baldwin Park, El Monte, etc. So sad.

Why does it even make the news when gang members get killed. It should come as no surprise because when one joins a gang this is the code they live by. Kill or be killed. It does do the community a service in reporting it, kind of like keeping score, as the next point has to be scored by another killing for retaliation... all it does is fuel the fire reporting it in the Tribune, thus getting rid of these low lifes by their own rules. Thanks tribune keep the reporting going and please keep the score, It is Bassetts move now and one more dead cholo in Puente 13....One day cholos will be extinct...I can here the cheers now!. Have a nice day. Wish Summer was year round, The extinction would happen alot sooner. Aw! the days of no graffity, no more hood rats, cutting down on taxpayers footind the bill for prison time for these fools not to mention paying for their offspring. Life is good when the last cholo dies.

The citizens of the cities you listed wouldn't tolerate it.

And lets take into consideration the fact that Industry S.D doesnt report all shootings. 2 guys from bassett were shot and killed last week, and one guy was injured from Puente on the same shootout.
Do any of you remember when the shootings in Monrovia/Duarte were going on? How much media/police attention did the city get?
Their was cops (including CHP) on every corner.
Made somewhat of a difference to my point of view.
I can almost guarantee that their is no more than 3 or 4 patrol cars for La Puente/Bassett/Valinda.
Seems to me like Industry cant take the heat ? Need some help?

Shouldn't we associate gangs with murders? This is getting out of hand in the community.

Cool Guy,

They are letting them kill off each other. This is the best way for it to tone itself down. Sheriffs are letting it happen, they know it is summer time and summer time is Cholo hunting season for each other. "another one bites the dust".....who the F cares thaey are cholos. Show me one thing good a cholo stands for? If it takes you longer then 5 seconds you just answered my question.

The story states that the man killed was not in a gang - he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It also states that the gangsters doing the shooting were the ones yelling the insults not the man killed. I pray that his family may find Jesus' peace that passes all understanding at this time of hardship.

Sorry for the victims family. People must not read the stories before they post. At his grandma's house doing a "break"(typical Tribune, break instead of brake)job for his aunt. The cops are letting them kill each other over there, just sucks that you can go to do a favor for your family and end up dead. Turning a blind eye to the violence will not make it go away, it will continue to get worse until some pressure is put on these gangs by the police.

Who is doing a brake job at 9:30pm.? If he was not a gang member but a car club member he may have looked like a cholo and got mistaken. Well maybe his car club will go cholo hunting at the P13 gang.

Beverly Hills and Santa Monica aren't over run by illegals. Unfortunately, the second set of cities you mentioned, gang killings are an every day occurance.

I live a block away from where this shooting took place and this area is still considered the city of La Puente not West Valinda. (stupid tribune) The few times that I pass by this house there is always gangstro looking fools standing around mad dogging everthing that comes by... What happened yesterday doesn't surprise me one bit.... Let all those ignorant fukkks kill each other... The city of La Puente has a halfed asssss city council with a halfed assss mayor running the show, tending to their self interest and lobby ventures, and until that changes nothing else will......

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
