It all boils down to this....One, was he demoted because he was lacking? And two, do we really want a religious whack-job involved in these types of important projects? Besudes, he was merely an IT guy. How far could they have demoted it. Sounds like he's using the religion card.

'Coppedge sits on the board of directors of Illustra Media, the group that publishes the DVDs that he distributed to JPL employees', ie: Darwin's Dilemma and other anti-science rubbish. Of course if Coppedge has an agenda, as it appears he does, that is counter-productive to the mission of JPL he should be shítcanned.

Why is someone who works for the JPL spreading anti-science media?

Evilution is a religion also. It's the belief that mud can eventually talk and rocks can eventually breathe.

Evolution will be dead in 10 more years. It is anti-sciene and religion. Evolution has never been tested - repeated- nor observed. It is full of outright lies and circular reasoning. To be able to fight the greatest fraud of the tewnty-first language one must learn the vocabulary. Darwin was an apostate preacher that also practiced witch craft in the South seas for a time and was trained for the ministry and not science.

No, that would be "creationism": Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; IOW: God, mud, some CPR, magic, poof, breathing and talking man. Odd that you think that it can happen instantaneously 6000 years ago, but that it is impossible over the course of billions of years. Besides, it wasn't mud. It was physics and chemistry. Cosmos, plentiful amino acids and organic compounds, physics and chemistry, billions of years worth of selection, breathing and talking man.

"fundamentalist christians" have been saying this for over 150 years. They have also been prophesying for the past 2000 years that Jesus will return any day now. Obviously, they don't have a very good track record with their predictions.

The Bible is a story forged out of the human minds imagination and its ability to exaggerate. Its no different then gossip, a rumor that get twisted, changed and manipulated to fit the human telling the story. Its a known fact that humans have bad memory recall...its a fact. There are to many galaxies out there to think an entity created it all..........simple minds, simple thoughts!

You might try to read a basic text or two about evolution; Zimmer's "Evolution: Triumph of an Idea" would make a good start.

It is pure intellectual dishonesty to deny the existence of God, Creator of the entire universe. Every invention and work of man required both human power and intelligence for them to come into existence. Should the entire universe itself, which is incalculably superior to any of man's creation, not have required some vastly superior intelligence and power for it to come into existence? It is suspension of reason and rationality to deny the existence of an Intelligent Designer and Creator, Who is responsible for the design and creation of the entire universe.

If a manager in my office went around distributing religious DVD's - or Avon catalogs, for that matter - they could expect to be called into their boss' office.
I also find his defense disingenuous, to say the least: "I think it's unfortunate that JPL, which is interested in exploring the origins of the universe would be hostile to the argument of intelligent design."
His case will go nowhere, like his career from now on.

Great, you're another version of MUQ. What is the religion of your supposed creator? Perhaps the next reality show can have a competition between all these metaphysical creators and we can give the best one a prize.

So are they suing because they are now claiming that so-called "intelligent design" is a religious tenet and not science? Shouldn't these people get there logic together on this proposition? I thought these people had said we had to "teach" the theory of ID as a plausible "scientific" theory in public schools, because it is not based on religious belief?
