A Laytonville man was killed in an ATV accident Monday while he was driving along a roadway near Garberville, the California Highway Patrol reported Wednesday.

I feel for the guys family and all- but how drunk do you have to be to wreck an ATV coming out of your driveway with no helmet on???

PLEASE NO IGNORANT ASSUMPTIONS!!!! He hit loose gravel on a dirt road, hitting the same pole that nearly claimed another life a few months back, NO ALCOHOL INVOLVED EITHER TIME. It was an accident on a bad stretch of Bell Springs and yes, a helmet would have made a difference, my condolences to the family and friends.

While I sympathize with the family, I hope that others learn from this and wear helmets, yes they are ugly and not always comfortable, but they could save your life.....
