Running water? Is that even necessary, to be considered civilized? And where's all the jobs, and people at? There's supposed to be thousands... probably, filling their cups and bowls full of Orange Creek Water. Tsk tsk.

Guess you would not be concerned unless your children did not have clean water to drink. Running water is not the necessity, it is CLEAN WATER that we require. There are thousands of folks refusing to fill their cups and bowls full of Orange Creek Water. We have had enought of this, we cannot fix what has been done to our water supply but we can darn well make sure the buck stops here.

I talked to a few towns like city of neon, they told me they want the people to pay for the water lines, they also said they had problems and stuff. Letcher county needs to elect new town officials because these people in office are greedy idiots.

Trouble UP ON MILL CREEK again this week.

On Friday two more wells were flagged by the Kentucky Department of Water to be toxic as a WARNING to these folks came by way of a phone call that they are not to DRINK, COOK, BATHE OR DO LAUNDRY in the DIRTY WATER. Again, they can flush their toilets. That is 5 TOXIC UNUSABLE WELLS and counting.

What a sad story when the folks UP ON MILL CREEK have been drinking this water for eight years as neighbors have pleaded the Dept of Mines to test ther water supply. Whose side are they on anyway?

Perhaps we all should be concerned as this toxic water is flowing down Mill Creek. The stream picked up some mine waste along the way up on Hwy 7 N as it was discovered this week. This toxic water flows down stream into Whitesburg and then on to the North Fork of the Kentucky River. Is this toxic mix is flowing into your drinking water by way of municipal or well water supply? Is the filtering process even capable of filtering out ARSENIC? MERCURY? LEAD? SO MANY MORE.

The Department of Mines will only test for what they want to find. Who is minding your water supply?

Clean water is essential for each of us. Yet,people complain when the EPA tries to do their job and enforce the laws concedrning clean water. Politicians in Letcher county are making improvements in their quest for water and sewage services throughout the county. It takes time and money to complete these projects; therefore, it is a slow process. I would suggest that those with suggestions as to how we could speed up the process of getting water and sewage to all of our citizens please come forward. Work with others in your communities and with those holding public office to get water and sewage services. Contact both Senators McConnell and Paul and Congressman Rogers for their help. Each of them say that they are there to help us but yet they do little for eastern Kentucky. As individuals we can do little to get the services we need but as a group we do stand a chance to let those in Frankfort and Washington hear our voices.

You moron, Mill Creek does not even go to Whitesburg!! Water dont run UPHILL!!!!!!

Mill Creek and the Rockhouse join, then Rockhouse Creek joins the Cambranch at the Junction of 7 and 931. The Rockhouse then follows 7 intil it joins the northfork of the KY river at Woodrock.

Oops, someone help me out here. Perhaps I should have said Letcher County holds claim to 3 headwaters including the one that feeds the N Fork of the Kentucky River. Must be that toxic water clogging up my brain. Does it make a difference which way it goes when it hits our aquatic flow? Close enough?

Don't tell 5 past generations laying up on the hill to move, they are planted there to stay. Then there are 3 more generations standing in line to follow. Over 175 years on this mountain so far and there is a, plan to stay. Not crying here just screaming out from what is left of the top of this mountain. "DON'T DRINK THE WATER."

It makes a difference when act as if you are stating facts, which you have not.

Next time, get your FACTS straight before you post.

Here is a fact. The water Up On Mill Creek is poison. Just a courtesy heads up for those folks who might still be using this water.
