Letcher co. School Buses

Whoever is in charge, could you please please allow the buses to maybe sit an extra 3 minutes to wait on kids to load. My child missed the bus. Hitched a ride in the parking lot. Came home upset and crying. Most of the time I am at work trusting that my child will make it to the bus on time. Other parents say they do not give you much time to get on the bus. These kids are on their 2nd day, they are combined now and it is very frustrating to hear my child say it can't make it their in time. I just wonder am I the only parent that has this problem. What can be done about this? Should I blame my child?

I think your concern is valid!....it's hard for parents that work. I think they should wait! I would not blame my child!

I hate the new drop off for the kids a trip around the school.

MY child came home and told there where so many kids on the bus that there was no place to sit and kids had to stand. Is this safe? I don't think so!!! Over crowded for sure!!!

What school was this at??

LCC is so confusing for any child, freshman especially. They need time to locate and find their lockers, classrooms, bathrooms, and BUS. I understand there has to be rules, limits and structure for any school, but this 4 min from last bell until bus leaves MUST BE CHANGED NOW!!!!!!

My word....4 minutes. No wonder my children have been in panic mode. I picked mine up today to but didn't think of timing the bus. WOW!! The school board should do something very quick. Like have more buses and allow a few more minutes for load. The one bus that had children standing is not by any means safe. What if the driver had to hit the brakes suddenly then sling some kid through the window. Absloutely uncalled for. Who is in charge of the buses?

The Transportation Director is the person in charge of bus scheduling. Contact them and voice your concerns, I am sure they will be happy to help you with your concerns.

Twyla Messer is in charge of buses. NOT ARLIE at the bus garage, he will tell you he is but this is not true. He is only the trainer. When you contact the bus garage Twyla Messer never gets the complaints. DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE OTHER THAN Twyla or your issues will never get a response.

yes and Lesley Brock is going to kill someone or a family, she come up Pert creek so fast there is noway anyone could get out of her way, and when she hit me i am going after the school bord because thay have been told more time than once!!!!!

if Twyla don't know, it won't get fixed. she's the only one to fix it.

She is amongst the top ten drivers in the state or maybe in the country. I'd love to have her hauling my kids every day, but they have already done graduated and moved on with their lives. She's also a fine person to know. You try to hit on her and she turn you down?

the reason is they are over crowded. 1. they need the extra buses to haul their championship football team. 2. they need separate buses for the band, team, etc... 3. plus the more money they save on tranportation the more they can spend on foosball. so stop your snivvlin whinning, you the parents are the ones that hold your kids back two or three years so they can be the star qb in grade school. you people are a bunch of washed up pill heads tring to relive your pathetic lives through your children. makes me laugh
