Tallapoosa is a great place with a first class museum. I really enjoy going there.

I wish her all the best with staying in business in Possum Snout. The nearest person who did good grooming on our dog is in Bremen. The city needs all the business it can get because the industries sure are not beating down the doors to open in Possum Snout. They have about all closed up except Stoffel Seals and the new Honda plant, and I understand they cut positions.

Yes it is refreshing to be somewhere with no crime. It used to be like this in Douglasville. If their is crime it's not from folks of color they are afraid of the good ole boys.So if it stays like it is it will remain a Leave it to beaver community.lol

This is through 2005. I am sure once 2006-2009 is online you will see an increase in the property crimes. As far as violent crimes, ie: murder, rape etc, that number has historically been low for the city.

If it's the groomer that has signs around town, I called and left a message for someone to call me to schedule my poodle for a groom and I never got a return call. Not a good way to start a new business. I agree we need a groomer out here but customer service is important to me.

My name is Julie Mendoza and I own You Dirty Dog. The 'signs around town' are those of a random individual whom I do not know. I would like to take this opportunity to clarify your comments. My hours are 8 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Saturday. If I must leave the shop for any given reason such as getting my grand daughter from school, I forward my phone to my cell, and ALWAYS leave a note on the door telling when I will return. I would, however, like to take this opportunity to add that I will be open for the much anticipated feature of boarding that so many Tallapoosa and east Alabama residents have been seeking. This is a quality place for their canine family members to hangout and play while their human counterparts enjoy their vacations. Beginning Monday September 20, 2010 we will be open to boarding and grooming on Mondays as well. As always I ask that if you are dissatisfied with our work, TELL US!- if not, tell everyone! We are so blessed and thankful for all of the family pets that the wonderful residents of west Georgia and east Alabama have entrusted us with! Thank you so much and we look forward to the business relationship to continue. Check out the coupon for this month! 10% off all full grooms for the month of September!!!!

Is Barks & Bubbles the one that was on US 78 West in the little small building close to the old Country Dairy Store?? If it is the same one the lady there did do a great job when we carried our dog to her for clipping. We have not tried You Dirty Dog yet because quite frankly my wife is doing a great job of clipping our dog. Just like everyone else, well most everyone else we are pinching pennies to make ends meet. But we are very happy to see that Ms. Mendoza is offering to board animals. That gives us a great option at home of someone to care for our dog if we elect to get away for a few days. So ones "The Telepromter Kids" has his "Spreading The Wealth Around" reaches us here in Tallapoosa we may be able to afford a dog clipping and a night out.(Snicker Snicker)

Thanks to the fact that this wonderful country of ours offers us the freedom to choose and the freedom to compete for business, I am grateful to the friendly type of competition. As I do not know the owner of Barks and Bubbles, I have nothing but respect this individual. Competition is the driving force of free enterprise. Frankly, I encourage it in the respect of always striving to challenge myself to do better. Thank you for trying us out though!!

Thank you for your well thought out and precise manner of speaking. You are so correct about the economy. We are enduring a rather trying time right now as well. I am thankful for a landlord that recognizes this and is willing to work with folks. We will muddle through somehow, and my belief is that this great nation will be sound again, the good Lord willing.

We took our dog to "You Dirty Dog" today for a grooming. We made the appointment with Brooke, the groomer via phone. The call was handled in a very professional manner. We carried our dog down at 8:30 AM this morning and by 10:30 we were getting a call from Brooke letting us know we could pick our dog up. So how did she do with the grooming?? PERFECT!! We found the facility to be clean and well kept. The price for the grooming was excellent. So if you have that dog that needs to be groomed, "You Dirty Dog" is the place to go in Tallapoosa. Thanks Julie for opening your business and hiring a great groomer to take care of our pets grooming needs. Plus my wife now does not have to undertake the grooming task and that is a plus.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
