Check your trunk. All cars come with one, but in PA, the dealers typically just leave it in the trunk (if the car isn't being sold to NJ customer).
If it isn't in your trunk, then somebody has it.
Nope; never had one.

I live in Ohio and have 5 vehicles registered in my name - if the $1.80 per plate is accurate (plus shipping, storage, etc)- then Ohio would save $9 on my alone - I'd even be willing to pay an extra $10 on top of that for no front plate.

It would be nice to know how often a criminal was apprehended on the basis of a front license plate only. I thought the police used the color, make and model of a car first and foremost when they are looking for someone - then use the plate only as confirmation.

If there are officers out there watching every license plate go by and entering that info into a computer to see if there are warrants etc - couldn't they simply park facing the opposite way and get the same into from the back of the car? of course then they have lost 2.3 seconds of reaction time.

And what about other costs - the damage to the environment caused by the mining of the raw materials - of in the case of recycled materials there is still pollution generated in the process of turning used materials back into new product.

In addition - since there are 20 states that require no front plate - and some of them are very near to Ohio - such as PA - how would an officer know upon seeing your car from the front that it is not registered out of state? Hmm - maybe he could look at the back of the car - seems to work for the officers in other states.

That would be the only reason I would support the front plate requirement. Nobody should be allowed to put Eagles or NASCAR plates on their cars in the first place. Why would someone want to put their IQ right on the front of their car for everyone to see? If you are an Eagle or NASCAR fan you should keep that to yourself and see if there is some help for the sickness.
