I believe in giving them their day in court. Even though they were caught on video in the middle of their crime(s). And even though the 80 yr old man can identify them in all four break ins.

They could have a very real argument that lead to these crimes. One example is if they were emotionally neglected as children. We all know that any child that was neglected in their young years can always use that for court sympathy.

Thus, give them their day in court. I always hate that we have to pay for such things. And often they play it out as long as possible. Thus, tens of thousands of dollars out of the tax payer wallet. However, I do (now) enjoy the creative ways them and their attorney(s) choose to try and sway court and public opinion with such statements as their 'client' was emotionally deprived as a child.

We all know when there is first hand identification. Or there is clear video of the person committing the crime(s) then it is near impossible to dispute. In this case the prosecutor has BOTH video evidence and first hand account from victim. They will likely face about 20 years each. Believe it or not, the most important charge isn't the B&E. It's the kidnapping him in his car. And holding him hostage; not allowing him to flee during robberies for safety and continued verbal threats. Their biggest charge is the kidnapping. I hope for the sake of costing us all more money in a long court battle, that we will show they are doing 20 years each, period. I will monitor this case because it's considered a slam dunk came for prosecutors. I am just eager to see what sympathy cards are played. Expect them.

BTW - My mentions of 'emotionally starved child' was my first post with sarcasm. Thus, I meant it as a statement in humor. This is so sad. An 80 yr old man. Tell me he didn't scare himself to sleep many nights 'thinking' he heard a noise when they weren't even there. Sad. Just absolutely sad.

All my posts usually state that we should allow them their day in court. I still believe that. It's all of our rights to be able to provide evidence of your innocents. It's a necessary community (court) function. However, when you're identified first hand and video recorded. Just curious what the sympathy cards will be played. My thoughts.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Capricorn

You're dashing around in several directions at once today because you're gripped by the burning desire to get things done. You're in a tearing hurry, and the problem is that this could make you rather irritable if things don't go the way you want or people don't jump to it. You might also be feeling angry with a friend, even if you can't put your finger on what's wrong.
