I am so glad that Entrum Pastor Gilmore, former pastor of CHBC, has come forward with his statement. He is so correct in his statement and there is much more than he probably knows about. This new pastor that College Heights has is one of the most critizing and rude person I've ever had to deal with. My family and I left CHBC because of his insults and horrible way of conducting the church. LaBorg is nothing but a brain-washing, lying sheep in wolfves clothing.
I am now attending a church who has an excellent Bible teaching and preaching forum and I doubt if I'll ever go back to College Heights ever again and I do not miss it a bit. I feel so sorry for all the ones who are still sitting out there and believing LaBorg's lies.

I think it is unreal for a Former Pastor who's wife used to head the christian academy's program to even think about giving his opinion, let alone the paper for publishing it. His opnion is biased and really does NOT count considering he no longer has a position. Personally, I don't even attend, but I truly think that everyone who has managed to whine and complain about this situation in public should be ashamed. Ever wonder why people don't join churches?
Frankly after reading way too much about this situation it's obvious to me, that a group of people wanted to have their way, didn't get it, and now are taking their "baseball" home with them.
I think it's time ya'll get on with God's work, and get out of the papers.
Until then, I'll spend my Sundays at home!

YOU ARE RIGHT!
And that man was not a very good Pastor. He should have left and took his wife with him when Pastor Laborg was brough there. People left that church because of Gilmore too. They had 300 when he RETIRED and Pastor LaBorg grew that church to 1200. Some times he may have sounded rude but to me he was telling the TRUTH about the hypocrits out there! All that happened if that God weeded out the riff raff and now with Pastor Bill Britt coming on board, it's going to be amazing!

I was at College Heights Baptist Church for over a decade under Gilmore's leadership. His so called statment of response was sorely lacking in several facts. Why have multiple accountants been dismissed when they questioned financial procedures? Why did pastor Jeff Laborg, associate pastors and the pastor's council request multiple times for a bank statment but were refused by Larry and Linda Gilmore? Why did Pastor Jeff Laborg have to secure an independent auditor to determine that over $200,000 was not being reported to the pastors or the school board? I will tell you exactly why Gilmore hates Pastor Laborg, the same reason that King Saul hated David in the Old Testament. We left because Gilmore lied on official Southern Baptist Convention reports about bastisms, church growth, money and more and Laborg found out all of it. Larry Gilmore had to distroy and discredit Laborg or face the possibility of being found out. The only question I cannot answer is why Pastor Jeff Laborg didn't reveal these things and more to the public awareness. Shame on those of us that knew what pastor Laborg was walking into but did nothing. Don't worry about who's telling the truth - it will be revealed and Larry and Linda Gilmore will be revealed too.

I listen to Second Baptist Church podcasts and am growing by leaps and bounds under the preaching of Dr. Jeff LaBorg. He is the absolute opposite of evil. In fact, he is delivering the unapologetic, annointed, Holy Spirit led, truth and the devil can't stand it! I ask that you visit the web site and listen to the podcasts. Your life will be changed! I have no vested interest in the past (don't know about it and don't care to) and I don't even attend the present church he's at (wish I lived close enough), but I know without a shadow of a doubt that I sense the annointing of God when I hear Dr. Jeff LaBorg speak. I know the devil will use people to put any and everything here to try and discredit LaBorg. How predictable that the devil doesn't want God's good news spread. The fact is people are being saved, Christians are being convicted of wrong and are growing. Take a listen for yourself and ask God to reveal himself to you.

Objectively following the guidance of the Holy Spirit is the only discernment one needs to figure out if Dr. LaBorg is God's man, brought to Warner Robins, for God's purpose. Unless you are prayed up, seeking God's will and fervehently praying for revival in your own life, you will absolutely miss what God is doing at Second Baptist. The darker the world gets, the brighter God's New Testament Bride - The Church - will shine. Maranatha - even so Lord Jesus come!!!

During your decade at College Heights, did you ever refer to Brother Larry as "Gilmore"? If you felt so strongly against him, why did you stay? If you want to uphold all that Jeff LaBorg did at College Heights, it's your right; but you are wrong. I was there too and knew plenty. Did you have a child who attended the academy, which Jeff LaBorg decided to shut down after he ran off all the teachers by humiliating and insulting them and "lying" about them? Well I did. My child spent 7 years there and was devasted, as well as many others. Were you in worship service the Sunday morning that Jeff LaBorg decided to be "cute" and take his shoe off and throw at the group of youth who always sat in the area to the right of the pulpit, for no reason? Were you there for the Saturday meeting for parents of students regarding closing the academy, when Jeff LaBorg let everyone else come to the podium and do the talking and when one person put him on the spot with questions, he was ready to close the meeting and go home? Were you there all the Sundays that he seemed more interested in telling how beautiful his "bride" Christie was and how wonderful his children were rather than preaching the word of God? Were you there when he first came to CHBC and told the congregation that he had received death threats in Savannah and then lo' and behold, he reported the same thing happened in Gallatin, and he had to have extra police security around his home, much to the dismay of Gallatin police? If you were around for any of these events and many, many more, you must have been asleep. Anyone who truly saw what Jeff LaBorg did to College Heights Baptist Church and College Heights Christian Academy could not sincerely uphold him as a "man of God" and would even doubt his salvation.......

I think you should "get on with it" and find your way to the nearest church, fall to your knees and pray. You never attended this church,(apparently no church); yet believe the negativity presented by Jeff LaBorg against the founding pastor of this church, Larry Gilmore, who was the only pastor for almost 30 years, and his wife Linda who dedicated years of her life to the academy and students. If you knew anything about this situation, you would not say the former pastor had no right to give his opinion. He had every right and there are hundreds of people here who thanked him for it.

At the Bema Seat ALL will be revealed. Until then, instead of exhausting energy with a "he said - she said" mentality, why not just keep your own front porch swept off and decide to just do the next "right thing". PRAY for those in leadership over you and TRUST that the Holy Spirit will guide them to take care of the Bride Of Christ - HIS Church. When all is said and done, those in leadership positions will be held to a higher accountability as will those they shephered if they did not pray for them diligently. Don't think for one minute that the minions of hell aren't giggling over the fact that God's children are wasting their energy on matters that divert them from sharing the Christ of the Cross. The longer we expend time and energy on non-eternal matters, the more souls miss Heaven. It's over folks - get on with it and keep the "main thing" the "MAIN THING"

Well, it's ALL over and done with. The land is being sold, and Larry Gilmore is out on his big HOG Harley Davidson, riding all around. For a man of God to say the thingd to his deacons and treat them like DOGS because they stayed with Pastor Jeff is not being very Christian. It will ALL be revealed one day and frankly I;d love to see his toupee blow off in the wind!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking because the church has decided not to pursue relocating? Has the membership dropped off that much since the change of leadership in the pulpit or is the church headed in a different direction? I really pray they don't loose their passion for pressing on to what GOD has called them to do.

The Lord has given Pastor Bill a new vision for CHBC. The vision is focus on missions and evangelizing the local community. The financial resources that the Lord has provided will be focus on this instead of a building program. However, there will be improvements made to the current facility such as expanding parking and we have recently upgraded the nursery area with all new furniture, carpet, paint. A few weeks ago we had attendance of over 1,000. The average is around 700.
