Thanks, but I'm really just an old biker broad living life as free and easy as is still possible. I have my own Harley, bought and paid for, and am not a bit afraid to ride solo. My "bucket list" is in the works. I'm going to take no less than 6 months one day in the future to tour the country from an R.V. with my Harley towed behind me to see the sites freely. There are so many places I want to visit and experience before the Lord calls me home. My motto has always been that I refuse to be laying on my death bed saying "I wish I would have"..... I'll pass over with a grin on my face, waiting for the next adventure to begin.... God willing, my bucket list will be empty of anything except smiles and great memories by then.
I couldn't stand the thought of a Harley being pulled behind a Motor Home for that distance. Just my luck to pull up to a gas station to fill up, and the Harley would be mysteriously gone!

1. Pay at the pump.
2. A .357 Ruger Blackhawk.
3. A pretty little .22 that fits quite nicely "concealed".
4. A 9mm, just for having some fun.
5. And a really effective anti-theft alarm system, even motion activated when needed.

(And that's traveling light, HAHA)!

I no longer need a bucket list. Most people's buckets are rusty and full of holes from sitting out and not being used and weathering the storms of life and partially covered with dirt until eventually it becomes so full of holes it will no longer hold their faded and unfulfilled list of dreams.

My bucket is missing a handle from many years of use, but the bucket is empty and the list is just a crumbled piece of paper with lots of check marks. I am home and content.

Goodmorning to the good ones. I see a few motorcycle riders are on board here now, I was feeling lonly for a while there, lol. In '74 I solo rode the U.S. borders from Orlando. Took me about three months. Crazy ride back then man. From the solo seat of Shovelhead I dripped oil across 33 states sleeping in fields, barns, rest stop picknic tables, occasional hotel, motel, newly met friends homes, beachs, under cliffs,a house boat and in a smokey teepee with three drunk indians two dogs and a eagle named Buffalo Hunter. I still take long rides but these days a hotel is at end of the days ride, lol just keeping it real.

Girls love their 'boy' toys too, hehe! The .357 is too big to play with, not to mention the cost of ammo, but the sheer sight of it garners total respect when it's holstered... It pretty much guarantees you'll be left alone when you want to be, LOL!

The little .22 is my favorite. Small enough to keep handy without being too bulky like the 9mm, but just big enough to get someones attention when they need a little wake up call.

The 9mm was my first traveling companion. I've had it for years now.. It was too big to fit comfortably in my boot, and honestly that's why I chose it back then. I used to be pretty wild....
(Years ago, the fact that it WAS too big to tuck into my boots turned out to be quite advantageous toward someones "well being")... I'm sure that he's never forgotten it to this day.... He never gave me any grief from then on, either. I abhor drug addicts who let their mouths override their brains...

Hi Abeliever! I seem to keep missing you on here, as well as Hemp and AW. Glad to have caught you!!

I'm looking for a little pearl handled .45 caliber derringer right now to add to my collection. They're excellent short range weapons. If I find what I'm looking for within a decent price range, I'll probably retire my little .22 pistol.

I used to have one, but my hubby at that time pawned it on me... I didn't realize it was gone until it was long gone. Still to this day don't know exactly how he did that, beings as it was registered in MY name.

Hopefully I'll another find one soon without having to pay an arm and a leg for it....

6.0 magnitude quakes hits off Mexico coast
MEXICO CITY - A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck off Mexico's Pacific coast on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, but there were no reports of damage.
The quake was centered about 18 miles southwest of Suchiate in the southern state of Chiapas, close to the border with Guatemala. It had a depth of 22 miles, the USGS said.
Emergency services in Chiapas state were checking the area but a spokesman said there were no reports of damage.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not immediately issue a tsunami warning.

Wow! I told you that I thought the strength of these earthquakes on the west coast had been getting more severe for the past week or so. I truly wonder if something big is about to happen....

Hemp, that trip sounds amazing! Specially during the time period that you took it. I was living in Florida back them myself. The times surely were different. Bikers WERE TRUE BIKERS back then. None of this fair weather rider crap. And none of the "biker only on Saturday nights" thing either. You road daily, rain or shine.

Us old dinosaurs are a dying breed, but those of us who are fortunate enough, LIVED to tell the tales about how it used to be. And we lived life to it's fullest. I believe we still do, even though our stamina may not as endless as it once was....

If I could go back in time and do it all over, I'd go back and not change much of anything.
(Not even those unavoidably stressful "club" days, LOL!!

Well, thankfully I learned eventually that me and Jose Q couldn't coexist very well together.. I tried to blame it on that old worm, but even that lame excuse wore thin after a while, hehe.. If I'd not figured that out, I might to this day be doing some hard time...

LOL... Blacktop and Wild Turkey don't mix that well either. When I think back, I wish I had saved a helmet that saved me, while sliding through an intersection in Phoenix, Arizona. The back of it was melted all the way down and through the padding. Skin and asphalt doesn't mix very well either.

No it surely doesn't mix well. Neither the booze NOR the skin and pavement... The vast majority of my old age aches and pains stem from riding mishaps. Thankfully though, we have those aches, pains, AND our lives currently, hehe.

I used to love Lord Calvert. Lord Calvert is SO incredibly smooth that you could take a swig and it wouldn't even curl your toes.

But my fave was, and still is, Jimmy Beam when I want a shot to relax over.. Just poured over ice with nothing to spoil it or mask it's flavor..

My drinking days have all but stopped now though. It just ain't as fun as it used to be. Neither is trying to get over that good old buzzzzzzzzz.

Nope, it just ain't worth it any more, hehe.

Well, I'm gonna log off for a while. Figure beings as we pay for Netflis here, we might as well get some of what we pay for. I'm hoping some new releases are finally out. It's usually the same old same old....

Everyone have a safe and very blessed day, whatever you decide to do! Chat later!
