Why do you guys keep Birkett in office? That's what I want to know...

Of course you could turn around and ask me, why is Daley still in office?

These kids were smoking some pot in their own apartment minding their own business. Good thing police got them off the street. Maybe they should go out in public to a bar, get wasted, start a fight, and then drive home hammered, much better.

Some prosecutor is getting a taste of his own medicine! Luckily for the prosecutor, he is in a position to easily explain away his son's actions as being perfectly moral and just thanks to heros like Jack Herer, Ron Paul, Barry Cooper, and Marc Emery who have extensively refuted all reasons that marijuana ought to be illegal. If you do not believe that prohibition is nearing an end, watch this video:

Birkett is a hypocrit and takes advantage of the power his position gives to him. He needs to take a toke of his sons stuff and lighten up.

I hear ya...(reference the Nicarico case)...but Cruz and Hernandez weren't exactly model citizens either.
Yeah, but not being a 'model citizen' isn't grounds for the state to execute someone. If it were, Illinois wouldn't have anyone left to run for public office.

Much to do over nothing, or should Joe resign? How can he now work with the Naperville PD? Does he have the same view of Naperville's finest today as last week? Joe said his son did not posses or own the contraband. Sounds like the 1st time Joe believes a defendant. Whats next claim the police violated his rights? The kid should plead guilty and Joe should resign and turn Democratic

Kind of like that Bears player being docked in his own boat. Yea, too bad there are patrols. I always knew they were the bad guys.

Maybe if Joe spent a little less timing framing innocent men and a little more time raising his kid, this wouldn't have happened.

Parents are not responsible for the outcome of a child. They are only responsible for the rearing of their offspring.
Should he feel bad for his son? Sure.
Should Dad feel it was his fault and feel guilty? No!
Could he, should he help his son? Maybe. Depends.
Wouldn't you help yours?
Maybe he may let his son learn on his own. We'll see.
I don't think he will get away with anything either.

Government Employee? How about elected official elected to enforce the law and represent the State of Illinois? What? You don't know the distinction? Get out'a here.
