Please. Daddy Joe was called by the police, no drug/blood test administered, and he never inhaled. Daddy Joe is now looking for who leaked this story to the media.

Since when does a 21 year old kid with an ounce of pot become a news story?

Maybe it's Birkett who should go to jail.

Maybe Joe will overcharge, underconvict and otherwise ruin his son's life like he has to so many others? Sanctimonius hypocrite; maybe the Special Prosecutor can force join to resign if his son won't plead guilty.
Karma: it's a bugger.

I'm sure he was referring to how he would deal with it as a FATHER, just as every other parent would deal with it in their own way - which is exactly what Birkett was saying. Duh.

Birkett runs a fair office in DuPage, the Naperville Gestapo is the issue. From what I know of these thugs they probably targeted the kid.

Birkett's kid should receive the same "fair" treatment other pot-smoking victims of Birkett's fair office receive. Birkett said that another prosecutor will make the decision as to whether the kid and his friends are prosecuted. I wonder if this other prosecutor will be as "fair" as Joe Birkett. Birkett says that this is a family matter. I guess that is different than those he prosecutes.

Birkett in an article in the Naperville Sun said the pot was not his sons and he had nothing to do with it. I'm sure if it were anyone else he would be calling for them to take accountability for their actions. Not only is his kid guilty, he's also a mooch, doesn't even have his own pot he smokes everyone else's. I think thats the more seroius charge lol.
