The real racist are the ones that are overly sensitive about a prank. If a black boy said that about white people, he would not be seen as a racist but rather venting his frustration.

I say the kid should face at least life in prison, with no parole for a heinous crime like this.

And, how about his parents? They should have to pay reparations to all the citizens of that community who were offended by their little hooligan.

I can't believe the money being spent on a childhood prank.The punishment should fit the crime,have him write a paper or something to further his education on race relations.To the guy that owned the car that I egged 40 years ago,I am sorry.Didn't know you were black and it would not have made a difference.

Kids that age do and say stupid stuff including committing pranks but at that age if you have disregard for color then something is wrong with your parents because theres where it starts.

I think it's been taken too far, but defenitely needs to be looked at. When he pulls a prank like that, is because that's what he hears either at home or around his friends. Why can we just get along????

Let the boy go. At least he was courteous enough to no say the dreaded "N" word. This incident is so damn stupid. First the blacks complained about the "N" word, then it was colored, negro, than they could not stand to be called a black so now it is African American. What to they want to be called next?

It's amazing that some people accept this kind of behavior . Regardless of his color, he was totally wrong for saying what he did.

You will probably see more and more negative attitudes toward black people vented in the coming year because Obama is the most visible person in the U.S. and he is putting policies in place that the majority of the population find reprehensible. And he is black. Children listen to what is going on in a household. So yeah you are going to see children venting some of their parent's frustrations. And you will also see the adults venting their disgust, too. And who is in charge? Black people. So there you go.

Maybe so, but again, if a minority was to the same thing, or exclude anglos, he'd be "celebrating his ethnicity". Same stinkin' thing, just a different color...
