First SVPSD would say in there meetings Salem should do this or that and within a week or two Salem did that. Israel, that is a GROSS oversimplification and exaggeration of what really happened.

Good ole Salem who has a defective Water plant that the State is going to shut down. There is no immediate shutdown threat on Salem's Water plant. It is Sun Valley's responsibility to build the line to Salem. So, could there be issues? Of course. But, Salem has complied with all requirements, is not responsible for the construction of the line, and right now sits in a good position to complain strongly if anything goes wrong with the construction. Don't automatically assume that the burden of any construction problems will fall on Salem because that is not likely at this point.

I hope all goes smooth as silk with this extension project. If this project turns into a night mare It will cost me as a land owner Thousands of dollars. I look at the past performance of these Engineering firms and contractors and I don't want to pay the price for their inept abilities to perform. I look at the revolving door system which Chris Jarret and Michale Abertson are involved in and wonder what is going on up there in Charleston. We need to shake up the so called Public Service Commission so that it serves the Public.

Now some of the DIRT is starting to come up to the top, but may be pushed back. Try the dept. of health charleston Bob DeCrease, whom wong ( EPA ) is now working for so it is said.

I'm well aware that there are a multitude of things that COULD go wrong with the water line project, and I assume that some things will go wrong before it's over. I'm just trying to make the point that Salem is not responsible for the construction of the line, and that Salem is not automatically responsible for any contract cost overruns. I do know that the project budget has funding built in for cost overruns, in fact a considerable cushion at this point. IF you combine that with good contract management, it is not unreasonable to conclude that this project can be completed within the total budget barring a major unforeseeable problem. I don't care to engage in speculation based on worst case scenarios. That's always a bridge too far best crossed, or not, when it is reached.

You're welcome. I just happened to know where to find it based on past experience; no need to be impressed. Israel would have found it if he had time to look for it. P.S. Notice whose name is on the permit, i.e the "responsible party."

I thought he was going to call the Ethics committee and put a stop to that practice? I can envision the good ole boys up there in chambers behind closed doors smoking them thar big Cuban cigars and plotting against the Citizens of Salem.

Personally, I don't think any meeting needs to last more than 1 hour.
