Westmoreland man murdered in front of his home

I would like for everyone to no about the victim not the murderer! Grady Carter was my cousin who I grow up with for many years. He played basketball and football. He was a good kid who just needed to be loved. He was the apple of his mothers eye. He didn't always make the best decisions but who has? I know how much that he loved children and they all loved him. He not only was a son and a brother he was a loving father to a beautiful little boy. He did not deserve to die and be torn away from his only son. This little boy will never know Grady and is a victim also in this horrible tragedy that should have never happend. I hope that justice is served and this man spends the rest of his life thinking about how he took a father away from he son. Rest in peace Grady you will be missed by your family and friends!!!

Tragic is not a word that can begin to describe the murder of Grady Travis Carter. Many lives were in danger when shots were fired. Many people will forever be scarred from witnessing the end of a precious life. What happened was a reckless disregard for the well being of anything or anyone that could have been in the path of so many bullets. Grady's life being taken wasn't something that just happened on the night he died. His life is and will be continually robbed from his family and friends for the rest of our lives. So much of Peyton's life will forever be unlived, his life with a loving father. Peyton will not have his father to share future important moments in his life. It is up to all of those who loved Grady to insure Peyton knows as much as possible about who his father was. Grady was and was not many things, but he was a wonderful father. Thank God Grady is in a better place and missed out out on the sufferings life could have dealt him over time. Those left behind must honor Grady's short life and help one another cope with our ongoing loss. Something was killed inside all of us when we lost Grady. No parent should ever bury thier child. No brother should ever be left to cope with the future loss of his parents, alone, without the support of his little brother. No nephew or niece should miss being spoiled by their uncle and friend. Grady's family should never be separated from Peyton's life. Pray justice will be served. Use resources such as this to continue to share about Grady's life. We know what has become of the life of Derek Randall Williamson. He aspired to be no more than a murderer. On the other hand, Grady contributed to society and and the Kindom of God by bringing Peyton into this world and by being a loving son, brother, and friend. Think of all of the ways Grady would have bettered the lives of so many.

I hope derek williamson NEVER gets out of prison! May he get what he deserves!!!! Derek is a coward! Scum! Grady was a good man and a great father. Rest in peace Grady! Love ya man!!! Peyton, your dad loved you so much!!!!

just to let everyone know yes derek did get the punishment desereved but the real scum in this situation is the girl this is all over maybe if she wouldnt have played both sides of the fence her son would still have his dad!!!! i hope she sleeps good at night

I think you are ABSOLUTELY right!!!! They should get her for an accessory to murder. Since after all she said he told her that she just got him killed. She didn't even call the police to try and get help. Which from what I know and have heard about her, she's not happy unless some kind of drama is going on.

I agree with you guys. The girl needs to be ounished also. She keep all this going. How try this. I heard from around town she had another boyfriend besides these two when all this was going on. And I was told she was going to get married to some guy now that has money. This must be one hot mama. She has more men than Dickson Road women. It was bad that one guy loses his life and the other his freedom, and she just moved on to another sucker. And remember that little boy going through all this. That is what that is so wrong.

There are 2 familys that have lost their child and the cause of it is in home I heard is paid for by insurance,(heard not sure) and has a nice boat and BOOB Job....So sad for the loss.(looks like it) She did not wait for either to rest and she had another one in the home, Both Familys need the TRUTH not what is going around but the REAL TRUTH not different stories everytime we go to court the Truth would stay the same and these stories have not... Everyone that had a part of this tragedy needs to step up and take responsiblity.... Drama Queen, the friends that were out there with him knowing what was going on trying to play a game and it went bad....How does everyone sleep at night? U can blame anyone but everyone that night had a choice and it seems everyone made the WRong Choice... Are we teaching our kids its OK to be bullies and to Lie and fight and not take responsiblity for our actions....How do we all sleep at night knowing we had part of our friend and family dying and did nothing to stop it and there are quite a few of U ou there. All everyone in the familys wants is the TRUTH, yes Derek shot him but he was not alone in what happened that night STep UP and take ownership. U can lie to UR friends and to yourselves and in court but U cant lie when judgement day comes...God knows the truth u can ask for forgiveness but if you keep lying U R bak in same boat, sometimes we tell lies and start believing them ourselves, but down deep we all know the truth n it will set U free

Will I don't know about the BOOB job, but would not be surprised. I don't know if the insurance paid for the house or not, but she moved in it anyways. So I guess she got what she wa after. But really she is only following her mothers example. She left her husband and moved in with another man. She said her husband drank to much, That would be like the tea pot calling the kindle black. And the guy she moved in with dranks also. But he has a lot of money. So the girl followed what mother showed her. THE easy way.

I have lived a very hard life. I could honestly write a best seller, and have been asked by many to write my life story. TRUTHFULLY.
The Only thing out of all the things I have seen and done that I can really brag about is Jesus Christ finding me in a jail cell and having Mercy on my Soul. I was set free, even though I was locked up. Without him we have nothing. Pray for each other. Love each other. That man will get his punishment, and the girl will too. Whether in this life or the next.
I have been out of jail for a long time, but then I got hurt, and I have been sick for 15 years. I have had a lot of money, and I have been so poor I have been hungry. Really hungry. Life goes by before you know it. What we do here does matter, because we will all stand before God some day, and answer for everything. good or bad, but there is forgiveness through Jesus. A clean slate, and peace. I know!
I don't know what drew me here, or why I am having to write this to you, but Peyton has a lot to do with it. That little boy needs a good home. Please someone take him to church?
When he grows up he will remember that. I know God has a special place for him. I can feel it, and I don't even know him. He wants this family to know he loves you all, and he has been waiting for you. He has the answers you are all looking for. You won't find them in the world. He says faith just the size of a mustard seed. You can't find peace in a bottle, and not in drugs, but in Jesus you will find it. Not by Religous rules, but through faith. There is a difference. He says come as you are. If there is any changing it will be between you and him, not because people tell you so.

~ Getting Old, I had to take a minute to say, you could not have said this any better. This has to be by far the best response to any topic I have ever read and the most HONEST. We all have our "OWN" stories and I myself have done alot, seen alot and brought alot on myself. I agree with you-- I think I could write a best seller and people would actually pay to read it! In this particular situation there is nothing that anyone can say or do for all the families who suffered. Except for placing it in God's hands and believe in the fact that he will take them all thru it, somehow, someway. You made my day--when reading your response I had chills all over my body because I can totally relate to what you are saying. The world needs more people like you to speak the TRUTH =)

Getting Old. I think if anyone could have said that any better is had to come from the master mouth himself. I really think being honest about our wrongs will set us free. We all have them. We may not admit it but we do. Think you for your story. I use to go visit people in jail and talk to them. A lot of them are honest, what chose do they have they are at rock botttom. But Jesus said repent and be free. All I can say to you Getting Old is this, when people bring up you past and if they have not they will. You just ask them if they can walk on water. Jesus did, because he is perfect. Man can't because all men are sinners from birth. Thank You and love You even if I don't know you.
