The Westmoreland Little League board needs to provide a detailed account of where all the money is going. The League is broke from last year. How you may ask? Who knows! The President of the League won't give you any answers. Let's do some fiquring.$40.00 to sign your child up,( it was really $45.00 but with two or more you get a $5 discount. Okay $40 x 250 kids =$9600.00 - Sponsors paid $275.00 to get there team uniforms.Okay $275.00 x 25 teams =$6875.00 Most of the team uniforms only cost $140.00 (Per the company that did them this year ). Where did the rest of that money go? The League needs to answer these questions. If there is no wrong doing then why can't the League hold a public meeting to show where all of the money is going? My son is only in the 3&4 year old t-ball but I would hope these problems get resolved before he moves into the bigger leagues. Any suggestions?

This league has turned from for the kids to, for the money. I would not believe 45 dollars to playball. I ran this league one time but I did not do what the clocks wanted, i did it for the kids, but I got voted out. Somebody needs to get the district guy involed. But a lot are afraid that if they do their kid will not make all-stars. And that membership thing is a money scam. I pay taxes for those ball field and I will vote, member or not. Or we can stop them fromuseing fiellds.

I beat there is only a few people that know or will know about some high school seniors went to the city park and made a mess of the softball field last week. Now we will see if these kids have to do any of the work or get away with it. I would say they get away with it for the fact they are the uppy peoples kids. How what would happen if some kids did that to the high school fields. They would be put under the jail. Is this fine. Just because your parents are who they are, you can destory city property. If they get away with this then we should not say a word to anyone else. And they will get away with it you just see.

With the problems our little league has had and is still having. I remember not so long ago, we had a president that ran the league for the kids. He made everyone, no matter who you was rich or poor, go by the rules. Yes he had to stand up against a few that always got away with what they wanted to. But that year my kid had fun and was treated like everyone else. He did a lot of running for those kids with his own money. At the end of the year they voted him out as our president. That was wrong. I wonder if one of those people that did him that way ever went and appolized to him. I doubt it. A sin was commented that night. But my kid learned to stand up from him. Thank you Mr. Cline for you caring for my kid.

I have any answer for the problems. Start with do away with the membership cards, that is how she keeps getting elected to start with. Have an audit run by calling the district guy in Portland. And if things are not right with the money, file it with the police department. By the way I heard there was a report gave to the city last year from this president and they had money at the end of the year, so why was they in the hole to start this year. We did not play ball last winter did we.

From all I have heared and gathered about our league, I feel that somebody best get control pretty fast. Maybe if somebody got a meeting together and demanded some bank statement from the president things would get better. Yes I said demand, from what I hear she is good at dmanding things, maybe she needs to be demanded of. Our charter is very important to our kids and we must work to keep it regardless of the president likes it or not. If you never do anything else at least stand up for your kids.

Will the ball season is about over thank goodness. I sure hope we can vote someone in as president next year that cares about the kids, instead of the money or trying to suspend someone. In fact a lot of the people on this board needs to be gone. My feeling is this. Anyone with as many kids as a couple of those people have, they need a job, not a voluteer job.

I hope everyone read the Westmoreland paper this week. Sounds like our president of the league has went to cussing the coaches. And from what I understand she has the whole program fixed to where she can't be voted out. I thank everyone should put some presser on our city officials. The is a city park not a little league owned park.

Well, after reading some of the posts made here I decided to respond to some of these comments to maybe shed some light on the ignorance. First of all if no one has seen the financial reports then how can you say the league is broke or that they had money last year, but don't have any this year. Hmmm...this is puzzles me. Second, from what I have heard the league provides the city with a monthly financial report. If there was any wrong doings I believe the city would have done something about it by now don't you? Third, yes someone quoted some pricing in an earlier post and yes that may seem like a lot of money at first, but when you start deducting the cost of everything is costs to run a league..it then seems like such a little amount. I personally think the people of Westmoreland need to find something better to do than pick on the people who are out there actually trying to make a difference. My children have been playing in this league for several years and I must say that over the past couple of years "the board" has actually done more FOR THE KIDS than in many past years. Does it really matter how many kids someone has? Or that they work from home to be with those kids? Does that make them not as good a volunteer? No, if anything it makes them MORE ABOUT THE KIDS. It seems like the people making these posts should get up off their hind ends and start volunteering rather than running their mouths. After all, any coward can sit and type a bunch of nonsense, but it takes real people to stand up for what's right and devote their time. Thank you to "the board" for all your time, hard word and dedication. And to all of those people with a "membership card" I look forward to seeing you at the meeting and hearing your comments. Those of you that don't have one...better luck next year as you will not be allowed to vote at this meeting or even attend.:)

I have not seen the financial reports of our little league if that is what that has one person so upset. I was told there was some being turned in to the city. No I don't think the city would do anything if they did find something wrong. They can't keep their own financial report straight as it is. I guess after if they were going to do anything they would have checked out the light billpayment or the phone bill payment I heard about. As for the voluteering goes I know that was not about me. I have done more for nothing than anyone in this town for the last 35 years. I never ask for a dime. As for shedding the light on the ignorance. yes that is true. We here are ignorant I guess. We let people come in and run our programs. They don't pay any taxes to keep them up. They don't even live in the city. But we let them get on the board and run things. That is where the city needs to set their foot down. We let this happen and we are called ignorant. See how that works. I thank it is good that people bring their kids here to play, but then call us ignorant. As far as the membership cards go, I would not count those votes just yet. I feel the city needs to make a ruling on this. Do the people of Westmoreland have to pay to vote on a league election that is going to be operated on a public park. A tax-payed for park. If the city let's that happen to the tax-payers, I bet the general election will be really interesting. Maybe we as tax-payer can just shut the fields down and nobody play. Now would that be fair to the kids? No it would not, but that it where things are headed. The 3 and 4 years old group did not get to play all there games from what I was told. Was that good. No, somebody should get some money back. Will they, I think not. I have never seen a coach get suspended after the President cussed him out. Yes we had some good people on the board but from what I heard there was just One ruler. The board was afraid of her. And that is a good league. Glad it was not any worse. I will be at the election card or not. And I hope anyone that lives in the city and pays taxes here are also. We have already payed for our cards anyways, each year when we pay our taxes. By the way I wish some of the city officals would have came out there Saturday and payed to get in the public park. They were charging 3 dollars a car. Where did that money go. See you at the election.

Hmmm, reading these posts has become somewhat comical. Yes, I said comical. Does anyone really think "the truth" made any GOOD points in their last entry? Well, first they state that the people running our programs don't pay any taxes??? Hmmm, I wish I knew how they were getting away with this. Second, they state that they don't even live in our city...**note "the truth" Lafayette, TN (see above post). And, it is my understanding that all board members live inside the Little League boundaries for the Westmoreland area. As for the city taking control of the general election...not going to happen. The city has absolutelt no control over Little League and any meeting that they hold. The general meeting is usually held on private property rented exclusively by LL for the LL meeting. And according to the LL rules for this year if you do not have a membership card you will NOT be attending much less voting. And NO you have not paid for your card by paying taxes. Remember the city isn't passing out the cards LL is. Paying your taxes gets your pot holes filled and stuff like that. So don't waste your time trying to come to a meeting where you will not be allowed in. Or better yet do try to come so we will all know who you are and can put a face with these posts. Yes, that's a great idea...please try to come! And, I'm not sure but I would say the $3 went to help fund the tournament. I haven't been to a tournament yet where they don't charge to get in so what was wrong with them doing it?

I don't know why I am being jumped on. I am from Westmoreland and what was on the post is just the way it came up. As far as what the city can and can not do. Will the city can put a lock on the gate and stop all play at the ball field. That is city property. As far as the money goes. Any money that is pasted on city property is the city's businees. And if LL don't cooperate with the city, they can lock the gates. That would be a shame but the fact is they can do it. As far as charging at the gate, there was to be a permit to do that, just like a road block. AS far as the LL election goes. Who cares who wins it. If the city don't get cooperation from them they can just lock the gate. I am sure LL don't have the money to rent the park and pay the lights and water bill, so I am sure that will not happen. So really the city can control it all if they set their mind to it. Remember they do own it.

First off, no one is jumping on you. I am simply replying to your posts. But it does seem like all you want to do is throw the city's name up in everything. The city this the city that, when in all reality the city doesn't have any problems with LL. If they did they have had many opportunities to say so and they have not. So why don't you just let the city speak for themselves and only speak on your own behalf, or just speak on the areas you have actual knowledge on.

Will you have the wrong one. Please don't use my name anymore. I have a phone and the number is in the book. I have thought about running for President, but at the moment don't know. All I want is to coach at the moment. When I saw this I was glad people think that much of me to talk about me. But really I am straight up and if I have something to say to you, I will. As for being a MAN, I am just that. If I have a problem I say it. Thank You
