This is what happends America when you vote for a President because he is black. Wake up America, Start voting with your brains and not because of fear. The next time we want to think about "change", think about the big picture. The best solutuion now is impachment asap.
What a racist comment. Stick with the facts...he's got no experience outside of community planning and campaigning. THAT'S the kind of change our country wants, I guess.

Global Warming is causing bank failures! We demand a carbon tax now to fight this scourge.

Too bad people make judgements without knowing the facts. Don't assume a bank is closed down because of bad management or greedy owners. I worked for a bank that was recently shut down. Small bank, not one sub-prime mortgage and no huge bonuses paid. We are not all Citibank. Their only mistake was investing in too much Freddie Mac stock (only because regulators tell banks they can put their money there). Well, the stock tanked so the bank was out millions. Treasury bailout was designed to help banks like that but they said "no", can't help. Apparently they gave too much to the big banks there wasn't any left for neighborhood banks. All this talk about large bonuses and banks making money off of bad mortgages - that is not the only scenario.

Do I know you? You sound a lot like a chick who is very close to me personally, but miles away.

A recession is good for something after all: forcing badly run or corrupt enterprises out of business. It's a 'natural' way of weeding out the bad seeds that drag everyone else down. And it seems to work across the board, whether you're a mismanaged bank or a corrupt broker running a Ponzi scheme.
The sad part about that is that so many people (not me personally but maybe you know people who did) bought into the idea that they could have what they could not afford.

The stupidest bankers ENCOURAGED their loan officers to take stupid risks. You know what happens to loan officers who do what their boss tells them?
They get fired disasterously if the plan goes wrong, or get rewarded with a promotion if it doesn't.
The bosses who make bad decisions, on the other hand, get golden parachutes, because it is IN THEIR contracts.

Yeah, if it wasn't for all the people who got fooled and left to bite the bullet, I'd agree with you.
