you call 7 years justice? When you throw the scum in jail, make sure all the other inmates know what he did to a child. Then there would be justice....

I always like how the person that abuses a child always blames the other children for their crime. He deserves more then what he got and I hope the mom keeps her children away from that scum bag. He doesn't deserve the privilege of having children.

Even IF the fall was a accident, how did the broken femur happen???? That wasn't an accident so why does the father get a free pass for that? I guess if the baby would have died from the head injury or suffered brain damange he might have gotten 10 years instead of just 7. What a system we have and what a total jerk this man is!!! If the mother saw something wrong with the babies head right away how the father NOT see it! Seems very fishy to me, especially with the broken femur also.

Even in a very young child with underdeveloped bones, the femur is still the toughest bone to fracture. And I can't believe the baby would've stopped crying after such injuries. The pain, and the muscle spasms, it's horrific to imagine. Way to blame the sibling. What an a**hole. I hope someone breaks his femur and fractures his head in jail while trying to bend him over and give him some justice....Creep. I hope he never has even visits with these children again. Hopefully they will have a stable Father figure in their lives who truly loves them. God bless them, hope they stay well.

I fell with my 6 month old whil heading upstairs for the night about 14 years ago. I tripped over something left in the pathway, twisted my ankle and fell. My son sustained a broken femur because I had held on to him instead of letting go when we fell. Due to a miscommunication with the triage nurse at the ER, they suspected child abuse and questioned me horribly for 2 hours. My ankle turned out to be broken, and he was put in traction in Hanover Hospital for 11 days before being fitted for his cast. The police were stationed outside of my son's door for 3 of those days until dear Dr. Rinker demanded they leave. He took wonderful care of my son, and me too- I was 19 and a first time mother. It was an accident in my case, but this sounds like something much darker. I hope this horrible waste of skin gets everything he deserves and about 9 inches extra.

I'm sure he gets nothing plus unsupervised visits when it's all said and done. That's PA for you. And I'm not surprised when our wonderful ex governor Ridge is trying to throw his weight around by writing letters to a judge to go easy on a jerk that fractured his daughters skull and who now has perm damage because it's his neighbor and he's a nice guy - it was just a mistake. I about crapped myself when I read that article last night! Give me a freaking break!

Someone correct me if I am wrong. The DA is the main guy who is letting this dirt bag off easy since he says it is lack of evidence of the injury. Isn't this same DA that is an advocate for abused children...then why in the h-ell is he letting this osshole off easy. Why is it you can murder your neighbor and get life without the possibility of parole and you can shake a child to death or permanently maim them and get a sentence under 10 years! On top of that you can have visitation rights! Why aren't kids important, tell us Judical System!

We have a major issues with who is in control of our lives and it is called our "judicial system."

Many times I have seen Male Judges allow a father who is "clearly" abusing his children be allowed custody of these same children. As a human being, I am appalled at this lack of commonsense and wonder how these people got these positions, and further wonder why they are not relieved of their positions.

These are judges at all levels, and we need to be more proactive in addressing these situations.

I see murderers get less than petty thieves; and petty thieves get more than embezzlers.

Come on, people - demand accountability from the judicial system.
