They had me sign a contract, kept my car for 3 weeks (putting miles on it) and then told me nobody wanted to purchase it, and they want to bring it back to me. In the meantime, they did NOT make the payment as promised, nor did they take care of renewing the registration as promised. I wouldn't trust them.

Nada from COS:
I looked at the car, and what the owner failed to mention was that there were 109,000 miles on it, the payments were behind, and almost $9K is owed. The NADA average puts it worth about $2200. The vehicle is not insured, and as per Pineapple's agreement, the original owner must keep it insured until it's placed with a new user. So before you slander someone, and put yourself in a position to face legal action, you should state all the facts.

THIS IS AN ILLEGAL SCAM!!
These people place ads on Craigslist claiming to be the owners of the cars they are trying to get you to take over the payments on. They charge you a "down payment" which they keep, they are not licensed dealers and cannot do this! They also charge you MORE than the payment amount and keep the difference! These cars have thousands of dollars owed on them to a dealer or bank which holds the legal lien. Pineapple can't change the terms of the original security contract! They also make the original owner of the car (the one that owes money) add some random person that Pineapple finds to supposedly take over the payments as a driver on their own insurance policy!! Unbelieveable! What if this stranger that is making your car payments for you drives drunk and injures or kills someone while driving your car that is STILL IN YOUR NAME and is insured under YOUR POLICY? It's a horrifying thought. They make you keep the car in your name because they can't legally transfer the lien or title since they are not legit! You would have to be really stupid to let someone else you don't even know take over your car payments while leaving the car, registration, title and plates in your name. They also claim that if the person that is supposed to be making the payments for you fails to pay that they will "repossess the car with no notice". That is HIGHLY illegal! ONLY the lienholder can legally repossess a car, and there are many laws that must be followed including legal notices that must be sent. If your lienholder finds out that you are letting someone else drive your car, they will repossess it themselves! And guess who will be sued for the deficiency balance - YOU! The person Pineapple finds to drive your car for you will be free and clear of all debts and you will be left holding the bag. And FYI "Mr. Morelli" works for this company. I did 'digg' deeper and this is illegal, immoral and a scam. If it seems to good to be true, it is.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Scorpio

Take it slowly today otherwise you'll be almost guaranteed to lose your temper and make yourself very unpopular in the process. If someone is annoying you, you won't need any encouragement to start a row because you're looking for outlets for your current ire and irritation. OK, but do your best to direct your anger at the person who deserves it and not at innocent bystanders.
