deport all illegals!
|

I think the sense of pride is a combination of things. One thought is that it is just dumb pride. I think that it equal to the same logic that some people from the “hood” have about being proud of being from the “hood”. For example, a young black man in the suburbs wearing a “Compton” hat, when his parents moved away from there. Many people in America would consider Compton a “shithole”, but yet there are people who have pride in the city and being from there. Another thought is that some may see it for the “shithole” it is and just be proud that despite coming out of a “shithole” they were able to achieve some success. Kind of like the current Hip Hop mentality. You hear rappers rapping about how they came from the “ghetto” and they are so proud of being from (insert city here) despite the fact that they no longer live in that particular city. The last reason is the one that I talked about in the earlier post about just being proud of the label. Just twisted logic all the way around. |

Once again you believe you have won an argument by name calling. You whine about everything and have a solution for nothing. You only point out the problems but have no idea how to solve them. You ignore what other people post and continue to point out the problems and have no solutions. At least I encourage people to do their own investigative work and demand that our leaders enforce the laws on the books. And zack, an activist actually does something rather than sit and whine like a spoiled little girl. On intelligence...I had to explain the difference between precariously and vicariously to you. Or did you forget already? Keep telling me how smart you are, I keep forgetting. And your insults mean nothing to me as I realize they come from an unrepentant moron. |

As usual, an articulate and intelligent message from you (pats you on the back). Pride is dumb indeed, but in the special case of CATHOLIC illegal immigrants, its forbidden by that religion, is it not? I just see too many discrepancies in what the illegals say they want as opposed to what they are showing us they want. They are leaving Mexico to come to the US "for a better life" vs. Coming here and recreating the environment they knew in Mexico, and "damn proud of it". They want to get jobs, but they do not want to learn English despite FREE classes paid for by my tax dollars being available to illegals (against my will). They are poor, yet they continue to have children they cannot support on their own. Its a game, and they are going to lose. You already know that. |
Heres the rest of my post, you poor, poor litle person. I won't resort to the name calling, for that in itself reveals the type of person you are. You have demonstrated your ignorance all too well on your own. If you have read my posts you will see that I encourage everyone to do their own research on the matter. I also encourage everyone to contact their leaders, local and federal and demand that the immigration laws already on the books be enforced. Instead of writing silly retorts that are just YOU ranting. Oh yeah, and continually using the word"Snarky". I know it hurts your feelings to read these words again. Keep it up and I can cut and paste some really contradictory bull that you have posted. |

I see Paul is still jousting at windmills, and trying to lecture everyone about arguing on the internet... while he argues on the internet!
Trying to convince himself he's really smart for pointing out a mistake in my post... while his are filled with grammatical errors that would make a fifth grader chuckle. LOL! Thanks for the laughs, dude. Learn to pick your battles and you won't embarrass yourself so much you have to spend five or six desperate posts trying to get yourself out of picking a fight with the wrong person because you didn't understand the debate or what was being said. |
Hers what you were responding to: Zacktivist wrote: <quoted text> Whatever. You made a really stupid comment that was EXACTLY the type of comment I was talking in about in what you quoted- and of course failed to address the real issue I was talking about. Own up to it. why won't you post the complete comment, zack? Because you're a wanna-be wise man. You know you have no defense against real intelligence so you post on sites that protect your true identity. I worked all my life and now attend the university of Michigan as a political science major since retiring on a comfortable pension at 50 years of age. It can be verified. It's my real name on the posting and university enrollment records are public domain. I won't waste any more time or space on the likes of you. Never argue with a fool, as the people listening cannot tell which is the fool. And once again look up the difference between precariously and vicariously. You learned something from me, zack. I on the other hand,I learned nothing from you. I was well aware of the mindless jerks who prowl these sites |

I typo'd heres by leaving off the e. I challenge you to find any other errors. Especially as bad as not knowing the difference between vicariously and precariously. You have heard a few big words but obviously do not have a command of the English language. I can bring the exact post front and center to point out your ignorance to everyone if need be. You have a distorted view of yourself with a inferiority complex. It is apparent in all the name calling you indulge yourself in. Was your daddy mean to little zack.

Desperate posts? Once again you seem to be using a word that you don't know the meaning of. You do that a lot, don't you zack Go back earlier in the day when I explained the fourteenth amendment to you. Did that seem like desperation to you, zack? At least I know what the amendment means. Ignorance can be cured, zack, but your kind of stupidity will last forever |

Great comments. I agree with work visas too. I've no problem with foreign laborers who want the work coming here legally in an organized, above ground fashion, and doing jobs that need doing- but again, for fair wages, no ID and tax fraud involved, no below legal wages, and no illegal working conditions. Thanks for being honest about the 'greed' factor in the desire for cheap labor- I think most people simply want to believe it's someone else that's into that, not themselves. I wish everyone would be as honest as your statement above on this issue- people like their 'cheap' stuff, and there is an addiction to 'cheap' labor in this country.(I qualify the word cheap, because I don't really believe it actually works out to be cheap, rather grossly expensive). I don't like paying more for products and services any more than the next guy, I just believe it all balances out. It doesn't save me anything to have my house cleaned for peanuts, when I have to send my kids to a private school that costs a fortune because my local schools are overrun and failing.(As they are here in LA). It certainly doesn't help me when I'm NOT having my house cleaned for nothing, NOT having a bunch of people do my garden, be my nanny, cook and clean... and yet my neighborhood is overrun anyway. It doesn't really save my community anything to have markets full of 'cheap' produce picked by exploited illegal laborers, but closing hospitals, strained social services, and the rest of it tipping the 'cost/savings' scale in the negative direction from the true financial burden of those same laborers. The real injustice of it, is that the people that are exploiting the labor the most, wealthier people and businesses, often don't have to deal with the problem generated by their labor force, and worse, often profit off of creating the problem. That's why I constantly point out that this affects the poorest communities the most. Someone in another of these debates put it perfectly- we in this country need to take care of our own poor before we import everyone else's poor too. Also, I'm not in favor of any effort to mass-deport illegals already here. That'd never work, and would be a costly boondoggle and a public relations nightmare. It's a red herring when I see that argument made by some- because it's unnecessary. If we (most importantly) enforce our own labor laws and fine steeply employers large and small that violate them, enforce our borders, enforce our immigration laws- then we won't need to deport millions of people, many will willingly deport themselves. And better, millions more won't be falsely encouraged to come here with the dangled carrot of 'amnesty', as happens now. |

Paul, do you really work hard at being such an amazingly dumb hypocrite?
Even in your last silly post, you can't seem to figure out what a comma is, or a question mark. And it's hilarious that you repost your lie about not name-calling when that's about all you've done. Not that I really care, but it's just funny what a shameless liar you are. Also, you haven't added one word of thoughtful exchange to this debate, just had to try and insist that you've got something worth adding. Like I said, you're clearly an idiot that doesn't really know what the debate is all about. I called you out on doing EXACTLY what I was talking about in the post you responded to, and you've been whining about it for what, three days now? LOL! Get a grip. Wipe the drool off your keyboard and go get some fresh air or something. You seem like you could use it! |
I also challenge you to come up with any post that I said one word about arguing on the internet. Back up your words. You can't because it's not true. Because you're a fake, zach. |

1 Get your facts straight , zack. You got all pissy because three days ago I merely said you seem to have a problem with people who are good at their jobs. You can't take honest criticism, zack. Once again I ask; prove your allegations of improper usage of anything in my posts.I proved to you where you used the word precariously in place of vicariously. You didn't finish high school, your daddy or uncle probably did bad things to you and you now live with your mommy because she's the only one who understands her little baby. I won't respond to anymore of your childishness. |

I think that U.S.A. should stop building so many prisons and instead work towards supplying everyone in this country with education not only for children, but for parents, including parents who speak another language. Education can only be effectively applied to those with an eased mind, who feel confident and supported. Education will not be successful for those who feel they are less because their parents also feel they are less in this country. If we can do this I think this country will be a better place for everyone and more people will feel "American".

Isn't it CASTELLANO? |
|
I think you mean well, but your post is very naive. You sound like a Marxist that hasn't read very much. Anyhow, we need more prisons than you think. The criminal element will always be there. Bank robbers, killers, thiefs, rapists, thugs, drug dealers, ruthless people, etc. America needs more cages so we don't do early releases or parole releases on pedophiles and murder suspects. Those people come out and inevitably will continue committing crimes. Also, parolees are the ones that always end up killing cops cause they don't want to go back to state prison. |
