Malibu Drivers Deal With Rockslide, Mud On Roads
A rockslide on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu nearly hit a city councilman on Sunday, but city crews on standby just around the corner had the debris removed from the roadway within minutes.
Rocks above PCH near Latigo Canyon Road gave way at 4:50 p.m., showering washing machine-sized boulders onto the road from about 30 feet up.
Malibu City Councilman Andy Stern was driving on the highway when the rocks came tumbling down around him. He slammed on his brakes and backed up out of the debris. Read more
