I went to Lincoln Middle School for two years- sixth and seventh grade, before moving to Houston, Texas. I’ve known Mr. Beltran ever since I started attending Lincoln Middle School, and never once have I known him to act irresponsibly, or out of conduct. He’s well respected by my former classmates, as well as by me. Nobody has ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe in his presence, because he’s just not the type of guy to molest anybody.
I personally along with many of my friends- guys and girls- went up to his classroom multiple times, as a place to get away from the drama during lunch. He always welcomed us, and made us feel safe, and respected, as well as at home in his classroom.
Even while I was at Lincoln, girls have started life changing rumors, and they don’t know their consequences. I mean come on- it’s been happening since the start of time. Yes, Mr. Beltran does get on kids cases if they misbehave, but that’s no reason to go and lie about him molesting them, as I’ve known people to do. People can be cruel and hateful, when it’s not in the right place. This takes middle school drama to a whole other level, and it’s a huge burden. He doesn’t treat any student different than others when it comes to consequence, and it’s impossible for me to believe these accusations about him molesting four girls is true.
I know I’m just a thirteen-year-old kid in the eighth grade, but honestly, I can’t stand by and let this go by, especially for all the kindness he’s spread to everyone around him. He’s a great guy. He’s well respected, and he knows how to keep his distance, as well as care about his students. He has helped so many of my friends who have come to that school learn the English language, as well as increase their confidence. These accusations are not the truth, and it’s not fair to jeopardize him for the wrongdoings of a few students.
Haven’t you ever taken the time to consider that, maybe, these girls are a part of the same clique, and that they just don’t like him because he busted their rear ends for doing something wrong? Have you ever thought that they just want to get him fired, but didn’t realize that he would go to jail? I know, from the massive reports and interviews, that I’m not alone in my stand that Mr. Beltran is innocent of these accusations. Many people agree with me on the fact that he would never do anything wrong to a student, including the assistant principle of the school, his wife, and multiple parents as well as students
Also, what evidence do you have that he did it? The words of a few catty girls? What proof do you have? I mean, I know this topic is not one to be taken lightly, but honestly, look at if they’re all friends or not. Look at the past, and if Mr. Beltran has ever busted them on anything that was big. It couldn’t be true that he molested those girls.
I’m not afraid to even give my own testimony, or have an interview with a police officer, he’s never done anything wrong to anybody at Lincoln Middle School in the whole time he’s been there. If you put this man in prison, you’d only be convicting an innocent fellow for a wrongdoing he never committed.

It's not clear in my opinion whether these allegations are true. It's strange to me that these come out of nowhere when he has been teaching for more than 20 years at Lincoln.

Can this be true? At this point, Mr. Beltran is either a child molester, or there is some other explanation.
I believe (and hope) there is another explanation.
I have know Mr. Beltran for the past two years as he helped my son through a very difficult transition.
Mr. Beltran was always completely professional, and went above and beyond when my son needed help.
My son, who was in his class two hours per day for a year and a half, also does not believe this could be true.
Mr. Beltran has a reputation for making students do the right thing. I am hopeful this is not a case of a small group of students trying to get back at a hard teacher.
While I would never condone child abuse, I hope we can move forward with caution, and give this excellent teacher the benefit of a doubt. The police and district attorney would not indicate if they were in possession of any physical evidence. I assume (and hope) they must be or they would not have arrested him. I will, however, be watching this case carefully to see what evidence is presented, and make my own decision regarding his guilt or innocence.
While of course our first priority must be to keep our kids safe from unethical teachers, we also need to support our teachers, especially the good ones. Is this a case of an unethical teacher, or is it something else? What is the truth? And how do we determine the truth in this case? I am hopeful our justice system will find the truth.

I am a family friend, and find this unbelievable. Remember the hysteria around the McMartin preschool case? Wait for justice before coming to such awful conclusions.

There's a chance that Beltran has molested EACH AND EVERY 12 year old girl that has EVER been in his presence. I have yet to see any support for the theory that he hasn't.

I have known Mr. Beltran since the mid 80s when I was assigned to his classroom as a student for ESL. I have always thought of and believe him to be a wonderfully caring person. The allegations being made do not make sense. How is a 12 year old child- nowadays- who knows she is being violated or touched inappropriately for the length of one year- going to keep it quiet for that long? Not possible, especially with the personality and strength of character children are showing these days.
Plus, I believe that this is a case of let's join the bandwagon. About the video being found, I will not believe it until a statement is made as to what it's exact content is, where it was filmed, and why?- and the video is analyzed for factual content. Based on my knowledge and all the statements that have been made(not under oath), I beleive that what the prosecuter is claiming is false and not substantiated.
I truly believe these are all false allegations- not believable based on who Mr. Beltran has been for the last thirty years- an educator who has the best interest in helping his students succeed in learning the English language.

Parent G so you claim your son was with Mr. Beltran two hours a day for a year. I am sure Mr. Beltran was not intrested in your son. He molested Females not male students. So, I am sure your son did not see a thing because Mr. Beltran was actually teaching him and not teaching Sex Ed as with the girls>>

I think I've come to the conclusion that Parent G is a child molestor. No one else could rabidly support a child molestor.

If the video exist, then hang him. As far as these young girls flirting and stuff like that with their teachers, yes, its true. My husband is also a teacher and he has told me about it and he has made sure it was stopped immediately, so just a word of warning to parents, please talk to your kids and tell them such behavior is not appropriate at any time, they just might end up flirting with the wrong person and then not know how to handle the consequences. And as for those who knew this teacher and are thinking this is impossible, well look at the times anything can happen. If he's innocent, then great for him, I would hate for any one to be falsely accused. Let the courts and lawyers deal with this and hope for justice. Whether he is innocent or guilty, get these students the counseling that is needed.

He's a guilty pervert. Hang him by the nuts.
