Dumb people! Wake up, it can happen anywhere, even the "safe" schools.

Yes, I agree with you it can happen anywhere and to anyone. Now we have to wait and see how much SM schools are willing to pay to settle case with victims parents. Now a days we can not consider any school "SAFE". Come on parents we need to established a better communication between our kids.

I use to help at a school in SM and I could not believe the way children behave around young adults. I would see girl students flirting and jumping on male teachers or the teacher's aide. I remember talking to some of the girls to let them know that is not appropiate but these young dumb girls do not listen. Please parents go check up on your kids and watch how others behave and you will see and know what I am talking about. For me it is not right for a female child to sit in any adult laps or to hang from their shouldres. Parents awake up!!!!!!!!!!

What from Los Angeles,
I know what you are talking about. These teenagers are really flirtatious with teachers BUT that does not give the right to take advantage of them. If they sit on teachers lap the teacher as an adult should get them off, notify the principle, notify the parents. Parents need to know what is going on with their children. As a teacher & role model he should know better. For those parents saying it couldn't happen "there" well there it goes. It's all around us. Communication is the key to all.

Let's see the evidence before we crucify this guy. He's been teaching for about 30 years. A guy just doesn't turn into a sickko overnight. Either some girls didn't like their grade and saw a way to fix this guy or he's been at this for a looooong time. We don't know yet. Let the evidence come out first. If he's guilty, then hang him high. If not, the girls should pay for trying to ruin a guy's life. Let's face it. Anytime someone cries molestation, most people are quick to assume the person is guilty. Let this play out first.

I agree. Remember McMartin? The woman who started that whole drama ended up killing herself, but not before she ruined a lot of lives. Wait and see...it's a good approach

A lot of people assume 7th. grade girls are innocent little things playing with dolls. They are not! Not only will they flirt and hang on men, but if they don't get the attention they want they make false accusations. Regardless if this is true or not, the mans career is over. Parents need to teach their children not to play these games!

I agree with you these girls are to flirty and that does not give anyone the right to take advantage of them. However, the girls think that is ok to be all over them but what happens when the adult is flirting with them in returm and touching them (not in a bad way) but these girls might think that they are. That might be a problem and girls might think its molestation. You know an adult picking up a child to make a basket or what ever. Kids might get confuse about molestation and inappropiate behavior.

He has been teaching for a long time. It doesn't mean he hasn't done anything but this doesn't happen overnight. There should be some smoke. His only child died a few years ago and I'm sure that could cause him to act differently toward girls who remind him of his daughter or hoped for grand-daughter whether it was innocent or not.

The only thing I see giving this any real support outside of the allegations is somebody mentioned his love of photography ...

What do you expect? They teach sex education at younger and younger ages. These kids are not naiive. They know what they are doing.

Yes, I remember McMartin and I still believe they were guilty. I knew too many that went there. They got away with it.

I think we need to let the courts decide this and not judge the man in the media. Are these 4 girls friends? You would not believe what kids these days are capapble of making up. May be they think they are getting him back for something. If this man has been teaching for 30 years and nothing has come up before this, I would say have a wait and see attitude.

I remember that incident too. I read the articles about the childrens' testimony: the underground tunnels that ran throughout the property and beyond, and how sometimes the school proprieters would even kidnap them from their own beds in the middle of the night, perform strange rituals of animal sacrifice around bonfires, and return them to their homes by morning without anyone else knowing this was going on.
I remember the D.A.'s office hiring a backhoe operator to excavate, looking for all these tunnels, evidence of fires - nothing.
And the best arguement for their guilt was, "Children don't lie. There must be SOMETHING to this." Sure they lie, especially when they're given "leading" questions. They have wonderful imaginations.
Entire neighbourhoods were up in arms about it. The response was almost on par with the Salem witchcraft trials. And about the same amount of tangible evidence.

This story is setting off the same warning bells in my head.

They might know what they are doing however, it is wrong to turn them on and then claim molestation.

I agree i watched my friends kids turn into real sluts at 12 & 13 good girls, but they were so much more sexually active then there parents imagined the movies the oral stuff they were doing it was amazing! Parents think there kids are innocent but they are so far from it. Teach them about birth control, or they WILL get knocked up.

Quit living under a rock and assume it isn't your kids cause those are usually the ones that get crammed the most.

Let's all step back a minute, regardless of all the fantasies being bandied about the girls' actions and possible invitations isn't it the responsibility of the teacher to identify inappropriate behavior and report it? He has a 30 year career to rely on his experience and judgement vs. the 12 or 13 yr olds who are much less experienced in all areas of relationship interplay?
If he observed or was the recipient of any behavior that could be considered overtly sexual, then he has the duty to report and correct the situation. End of story! If he had taken the corrective steps, he wouldn't find himself in this position today.

From reading this article it seems this teacher has been tried, convicted, and hung already.

I do now! Do not tell me now or then that A child who has ever known or had contact with a preditor knows a differnce..........Trust me, we don't
