Is paying to shop at Costco really worth it?

It seems everybody has a key product they go to Costco for, be it baby wipes, cheap booze or groceries by the van load.

I will always shop costco.I still compare prices before and after ,since the fully garranty thier product 100% and for long than anyone else.I bought a prjection Tv and had it for almost 5 years and they gave me credit for half when thier tech. suport could not help me solve the problem it was having. My mother bought a washer had it two years 3 months -warranty was up at two .The washer wasn't draining .The warrany was 2 years ,but the gave me a full refund in cash and I bought another thier.Where can you get that can of service ? I bought energy saving bulbs 3 for $20 .supossed to last 7 years - lasted two to three .But knowing thier service I asked for a partial credit .They gave me back my full refund of $20 dollars and I bought the lower price of 5 pack of bulbs for $15 and had luch on them with my other $5. I didn't lie ,but the still went way beyond customer service and have always saved me money. You get a better product and a warranty you don't pay for which is included on food aswell -that you may dislike after buying it.How can you go wrong?

It is a great idea to shop around. I like Costco, but I am also impressed with Staples. I bought a whole bunch of ink cartridges and other stuff last year at Staples. I always used my Staples Rewards Card. At the end of the year I got a Staples Reward Certificate for $10.90. That was like getting one of the ink cartridges for free. Costco also has great buys. I recently bought a Directv HD-DVR from them for $169.99 plus tax. Best Buy wanted $199.99 for the same thing. I also bought a Western Digital 500 GB External Hard Drive for $129.99, which probably would have went for $200 elsewhere. Also, somebody else from my household got me two jars of Skippy Crunchy Peanut Butter not realizing that I like Crunchy Peanut Butter, but not the Skippy brand. I took it back to the store and they gave me the money back without a reciept, which I used at Stater Bros. to purchase their house brand of crunchy peanut butter which I like better. Overall, Costco is a great store. Years ago, I was a member of Price Club but dropped the membership after a year because of a lack of selection. Costco is an improvement over the old Price Club.
