Calabasas less colorful without Sagebrush Cantina's McCord

i have been a patron going to sagebrush cantina for about 15 years. As a member of the west coast weasels we refer to Bobs place as our office. we all knew and loved bob and thank him for giving us a home. to the west coast weasels the cantina is our cheers (like the show). it is the one place you can go to where no matter what club a biker belongs to, at cantina we are all friends.it is the one place you can go to and see everyone you look forward to seeing every week. no matter how stressful your week was ,you can always look forward to relaxing and having a great time at the sage. Bob will be sorely missed but charlie has done a great job running things so hopefully who ever takes over doesn't change things much and keeps charlie running it and the bouncer crew who always do thier job with professionalism and courtesy. our condolences to bobs family. and if he is going to open one up in heaven when i pass i will get buried with my bike so i can still roll over to bobs on sundays. A LandMark Bob was.

I'll never forget one experience there. A big, bad biker, there with his buddy, is a bit under the table at the bar. He bumps into the man next to him, turns around grunting something or other, turns bright red as he swivels back the way he'd come. The guy he'd been about to accost was the star of "Kung Fu" and though quiet and a gentleman, the wise guy, even drunk, knew better than to test whether the actor was for real or not with the martial art stuff.

I had a lot of great times at Sagebrush, and I really did enjoy the two or three times McCord demonstrated his ability with certain Anglo-Saxon terms.

Sorry to hear of his demise. I hope his son, or somebody, takes over and preserves the spirit of the place.

My sincere condolences to Bobs family. another loss to CJD that should have never happened. the many different phenotypes of the sporadic CJDs, none are spontaneous, they simply have not documented the routes and or sources.
Please remember, the last two mad cows documented in the USA i.e. Alabama and Texas, both were of the 'atypical' BSE strain, and immediately after that, the USDA shut down the testing from 470,000 to 40,000 in the U.S. in 2007 out of about 35 million cattle slaughtered. also, science is showing that some of these atypical cases are more virulent to humans than the typical UK BSE strain ;

IF BSE is not in the USA (just not documented for many different reasons), and only atypical BSE is in the USA (plus CWD, plus, many strains of Scrapie, and Now the Nor-98 documented in 5 different states, plus TME, then why would human mad cow in the USA look like the UK nvCJD from UK BSE cows ? it was shown long ago in studies at Mission Texas that experimental transmission of USA Scrapie to USA Bovine, DID NOT LOOK LIKE UK BSE. so again, in short, why would human mad cow in the USA look like human mad cow in the UK i.e. the (nvCJD). however, I believe that BSE has been in the USA untested and undocumented for years. why on earth then does the USDA refuse to allow creekstone or anyone else test their product? simple, if you don't look/test, you don't find.
ONE only has to read how the USDA et al have legally blocked, blundered, botched, mismanaged, bungled, floundered, and flat out manipulated, the testing in the infamous June 2004 enhanced cover-up program for mad cow surveillance and testing. I mean, I am not really to hip on THE INDUSTRY, testing for mad cow disease, and what that program might consist of, but anything is better than nothing at all....
