Once again some beaurocrat who is trying to look the big wig. Get a life mayor! This is a temporary church fundraiser and not a business.

They spent $8,000 and the inventory is only worth $2,300? Sounds like a problem from the start!

Instigator, a church is a BUSINESS. If they are holding a bake sale, it is a fundraiser for a BUSINESS. If this church had the $8000 to invest in an unusual business venture for the church, it should have be prepared to lose that money as well as profit by it, just like any other investor, business or personal. Thank you to the mayor for closing an illegal business, regardless of who was behind it.

Churches should not be holding fundraisors. The true church is to preach and spread the gospel, not entertain!

A church should not be selling products that annoy others when used, are suspect in many "accidental" fires, and have a known track record of causing devastating injuries to innocents.

Had you or I opened a fireworks store in that location with that type of signage it would have been shut down as well. I too question selling fireworks to raise funds for a CHURCH. If some kid blows a finger off the church would have a lot more to worry about than their $2300 investment.

Joyce / Mary: Your location will vary depending on where your ISPs corporate headquarters are located, not necessarily your actual home city/state.

Actually it doesn't have anything to do with the corporate headquaters of your ISP. Your location is dependant on where your ISP has thier point of presence. That is where they insert into the WWW backbone.

Well, Pastor Adams, I believe that you should have dotted all your I's and crossed all your T's BEFORE you committed so much of your parishoner's money!!!
You are supposed to "lead" - if I was on your board, I would vote you out ASAP and look for someone more responsible.
You give church leaders a bad name.
