Remember peapod by Kroger - it was only $9.95 and they delivered the groceries to your house.
Also Sam's Club will do the same as Meijers except it's FREE.

If I'm gonna go to the store to pick up groceries, I'll just do the shopping myself. I could only imagine getting home and having someone else's stuff!!

This is SWEET! I HATE going to store to buy groceries and see entire families clogging up the isles - I mean, does the wife husband and 2 kids really have to go together to get freakin' groceries? NO!

This could save a bunch a time - I hope they do it at the Meijer at Trabue and Rome Hilliard.

Although I agree with what you are saying, at times it is just easier to take the kids. My husband and I do the grocery shopping with our daughter. He goes along to help carry the grocery bags in the house and pick out what he would like for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I must say the company is nice.
The problem with the ENTIRE family going to the store is the parents don't make their kids mind. The kids are running through the store or throwing a tantrum when they don't get their way. Those are the people that need to do their shopping online so the rest of us can do our shopping in peace.:-)

I actually utilized this service once last week and it was AWESOME!! And no, I'm not lazy -- just busy and hate grocery shopping. They were offering a "deal" where the first time you ordered the service fee was only a penny (instead of the $6.95)-- so figured "what the heck"...! I ended up liking it SO much, that I'll probably do it again!!

The fees seem a bit high EXCEPT when you consider how valuable YOUR time is... IF paying $6.95 saves me an hour in the store and gives me the gift of an extra hour to do OTHER things than grocery shop, then it's WORTH it! AND I was wondering if I might actually SAVE money "shopping" this way, because maybe I'll avoid "emotional" purchases and REALLY stick to my "list". Most financial "gurus" recommend going into the store with a list and ONLY buying what's on your list. I really TRY to do that, but I usually don't succeed. SO maybe this way, I WILL succeed and save money, by utilizing this service! We'll have to see...

The girl that was my "personal shopper" when I did it last week did a superb job too! Got all the items on my list and double checked a few things with me before ringing up the order, just to make sure it was correct. Hopefully they keep that caliber of service up!!

I like how "unrepentant" is calling other people lazy whales. Since Sept 8 he has made 803 comments. That means he is making about 18 comments a day. Sounds like someone spends a lot of time sitting around doing nothing.
Personaly I think the idea is great.

For sick people, disabled or pregnant, this is a wonderful service.
I have H1N1 and no one to care for me. I need grocery items, but should not be around the public. I will be using this today.

My husband is in a powered wheelchair. He has a difficult time grocery shopping alone because he can't reach things on the top shelves. It's also hard to drive the chair and push a cart through the aisle without hitting things and other people.
So this service sounds like a great idea for people like him. There are people in the community who just can't do everything they want alone. It's really nice to get a little help for them!
