Hannaford data breach exposes million of customers

Little did I know a quick stop at Hannaford in East Greenbush would end up costing me $800+ in airfare tickets on Air Berlin (Germany) and RyanAir (Dublin)!

Thanks Hannaford, for giving my debit card information to some LowLife to use ....!!!

I heard that other retailers are affceted by this breach as well.

the past few days have been great (but not for me ) $1200.00 in gasoline purchases in georgia and a $500.00 shopping spree at walmart in North Carolina nice going Hannaford

Why did Hannaford not post notices in the stores when they learned of this. We are there every Sunday, never a mention by the clerks or any notification from the company was posted. Thanks a bunch Hannaford for your inconsiderate actions. Here we come Price Chopper.

With all the past breaches why are retailers waiting till its too late before they do anything? Why are they even allowed to wait?

The scary part is that they were aware of the breach On Feb 27, but couldn't resolve it until March 10.
Sounds like morons are working there.

I want to know why these company's get no fines for their responsibility in protecting our security---

I have always shopped at Hannaford but the last few days have been tough trying to fix all of the fraud charges on my Visa.(about $910 worth) Thanks for nothing Hannaford!

I wanted to send this email to Hannaford, however, their website is "undergoing maintainence" and will not allow that.

This family has been buying from Hannaford since the Colonie store opened about 20 years ago. We put our trust in you as a partner to save us time and money.

Feel like your security wasn't protected like it should have been?
Sue em.. People in Maine are doing it.. Its a big company with money they & they should be protecting that information.
