“Bomb N Skul". Other threats had also made their way around the school. On October 2: Travis was questioned by police as a potential witness. He mentioned to the police, "We will have another bomb threat this afternoon.”

The rumors around the County are that the Travis family is sueing the School Board, the State Police, the Sheriff's Department and it is hard to tell who else. That is the dumbest thing that I ever heard. I heard that they are sueing the school board for a million dollars. That is just ridiculous. Come on a million dollars. Can you say Greedy? In my opinion, a very guilty boy got off and the family should be thankful. I think that lawsuits are only going to embarass the family more. I hope that NO ONE agrees with this ridiculous act by the travis family.

uneducated opinions are like cowpiles. you find them everywhere, but if you have any sense you avoid stepping in them smearing them around like the plague.

You are sharing your "opinions" also. How does that make you any better. However, it has been fun arguing with you, but I have way more important things to do than argue with you.

i am not sure i understand, tammy said "...no evidence to prove it, until it ACCIDENTLY got out". not sure what that means...sounds like there was evidence but, it got out accidently. Plus, just a casual observation, the threats stopped once he was removed, just a thought. happy rest of the school year children.

I thought the threats continued until the security cameras were installed? And continued after Brian was removed from the school?

Sorry, jim I have to respectfully disagree, Plus my typing might have also been confusing.
There was NO evidence to prove his GUILT. Evidence that PROVED his INNOCENCE however came out in court accidently by a state witness that there was another child who found the note before the one that the school did tell everyone, and this one BEFORE Brian even signed out of class. And ABSOLUTELY NOT! the threats continued LONG after he was expelled . In fact they had about a dozen MORE notes after he was blocked from school property. And the only way in was thru a locked door with a security camera and buzzer. Once they moved into the new school, i believe they then stopped. |

A young girl came to my house this evening. I believe she is about 19-20 yrs old. She had walked into West Union to the doctor and back, and was tired and feeling ill, and stopped and asked for a ride. So I drove her to where she was staying. On the way there she told me that back in October ( after Brian was arrested) and she said that when she seen the police and school was trying to accuse others that were NOT involved, she said she went to the police and gave them a written statement that another boy had told her he had done it. This boy is a minor and was accused about 3 weeks after my son was arrested. She said sometime after that, the police came and handcuffed her and was going to arrest her for with holding information, until she reminded them she had made a statement. Guess what? When our lawyer filed for disclosure this was more evidence that could have helped my son, that was with held from the trial. I hear there were several other students that had written statements accusing another. Wonder if I could do a "citizens" arrest for the ones in the school and with the police that withheld this evidence? I keep finding out more and more about how crookedly this case was handled. I believe it was because my son had just turned 18. The others were minors. So this allowed the police and school to make a big show of themselves and plaster his name and face all over the channel 5 news for months last yr. Then when he is found innocent they say they dont like to report on false bomb threats.

If your talking about" more disturbing news" post above yours, your wrong. I have made several posts on this disturbing and unethical case. I am not afraid to post my name as all I have posted is FACTS. Brian is my son.

there was also elizebeth dean, cory ford. elizebeth found the note and didn't turn it in she threw it back on the floor. everyone told the police that it was corey ford but they still arrested brian. brian was found innocent but they still ran his name through the news why wasn't cory ford. he failed the lie detecter the handwriting all of it. the cops were trying to convince all the boys that there was the miletus mofia and questioned all the boys and accused them of being all gay it's f'n ridiculous what dennis caton mostly said to the boys. the school still hasn't accounted for what they did. if everyone doesn't do something about the rules at that school for interogation then some of your kids are going to either admitt to things they haven't done or charge them anyway. how could they get away with ruining a boys high school dreams and not be accountable. brian and his sister was making soap and makeing their own money when they were just young kids. the only thing they had on him was he wanted to use his right of being 18 and go home instead of sitting for hours. that doesn't mean he did it. it's already been proven that he didnt' do it. mrs richards dennis caton and all your side kicks have proven that the truth doesn't matter. i am ashamed to be affiliated with this county of criminal officials. mrs richards yu should step down you can't take the pressure. werent' you hospitalized for a nervous break down you are not emotionally stable enough to be in charge. |

Are the other children minors? That's why their names weren't reported? I also would like to know why nobody has been held accountabe for prosecuting Brian when there was evidence he didn't do it and it was covered up. I've talked to kids that go to the new high school and they've said it's more like a prison than a school. Not how I would want my chidren educated. |

Do you realize that as this topix conversation is going on the School Board is considering and will be approving the new and improved Student's Rights Policy?(Their meeting is probably the 1st Thursday in Aug.)From their agendas and minutes, they have already had two readings of this policy and policy is what gives them the right to do as they please --- INCLUDING the questioning of students WITHOUT representation..... Better watch this one....(Didn't you parents love the note that came with the report card that told you that you being allowed to visit the school was a PRIVLEDGE not a RIGHT?)(You can tell your kids to refuse to answer until you have been called and are with them!)
