Most of you seem to have no clue. First off, you talk about drugs like they are all the same. There are many different kinds of "drugs." Prescription drugs, coffee, cigs, alcohol, marijuana, meth, coke, lsd, etc. Each one has a different effect on a person. Alcohol is a very dangerous drug that causes alot of problems with your motor skills. It's one of the most dangerous ones when it comes to driving. That's the reason the cops spend so much effort stopping drunk drivers. How may times have you ever heard of anyone being killed by a stoned driver. It's not like people aren't out there driving while smoking pot. It's just not that dangerous. I wish you all could know how many of your friends and family smoke pot. It's not a difficult thing to hide. That's because it doesn't make you all crazy like so many of you think it does. That kind of ignorance just makes me laugh.
If you want to discuss the dangers of druge use, perhaps you should educate yourself a little bit about which drugs are truely dangerous. Many of them are. You just look like a fool when you act like they are all the same.

Because we are loving the effects of being high and driving our government paid cars so we can wreck them and get another . Come on how do you expect us to pull someone over who is walking down the street high when we are just as high? Have you ever wondered why we officers have been known to flood the doughnut shops ? Well stop the questioning we have the darn munchies so there .

If you are going to speak about psychology, you have to realize that yes, Marijuana as any drug can trigger a predisposed mental illness or disorder - the research on Marijuana suggest it has less physical side effects than alcohol consumption which has about the same likelihood of triggering mental illness as Marijuana use does - certain drugs such as cocaine have worsened side effects of both natures; you can easily overdose on cocaine and your body can have a reaction to it at any time resulting in the stopping of heart or respiration at a higher incidence than alcohol and Marijuana. Of course smoking a joint is NOT good for you, but don't skip out on the research and believe that drinking alcoholic beverages is any better - they are both foreign substances in your body that cause extreme disfunction physically and have the potential for the triggering of mental illness.

Furthermore, don't you think if there was a roadside test that could PROVE you were "high" whilst driving you would see more DUI for drug users? Alcohol consumption can be tested with a roadside test should you choose to comply with the officer(s). The law is not that simple, you cannot convict someone of driving under the influence of marijuana without proof and it is more difficult to PROVE marijuana use than it is alcohol - even if you are pulled over for driving whilst intoxicated in Canada, you can choose to not take the breathalyzer and opt to be charged with "refusal to take the breathalyzer" which is typically a 1-3 year license suspension and no criminal DUI charge as it cannot be proven that you were driving under the influence.

I wasn't aware that there were any billion dollar pharmaceutical companies backing the prescription drug "marijuana." That may be why you can't join a class action suit because your idiot fubarred their life with drugs.

"Marijuana intoxication can cause distorted perceptions, impaired coordination, difficulty with thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory. Research has shown that, in chronic users, marijuana's adverse impact on learning and memory can last for days or weeks after the acute effects of the drug wear off.2 As a result, someone who smokes marijuana every day may be functioning at a suboptimal intellectual level all of the time."

I'll take dry mouth, occasional constipation, or even difficulty urinating over that. If you want to that's your prerogative, just do it at home and stay there.

I'm all about Civil Liberties. I do have issue with someone else's when they infringe upon mine. I would expect the other to feel the same if my liberties infringe upon theirs.

I am a former pothead also,Smoked it for 20 years, now i have lung problems.Had friends got killed because they were stoned.(ran off the road, because dropped the roach, pulled out in front of someone,Forgot to signal, slow refexes,ect..)Yes pot is bad for you i spent 20 years with my head in a cloud, missed alot of my children growing up,cant remember much in that period of time.Yes i think pot should be compared to alcohol related.Depends on how much you use it.You are either a drunk if you drink all the time, or you can be a stonner if you smoke all the time. This topic is about the tweekers, and pill heads,ect..I know the person posted it.You see these people everyday out in public, witch is discusting.I dont want my little grandchildren idolizing these freaks. They need to know its wrong. Those people should not be in the public eye, being free, acting insane. Its discusting, the way they dress, and the way, they chomp at their mouths. Not to mention your always have to look over your shoulder, afraid they are gonna rip you off. There is a difference. But im not saying there is nothing wrong smoking dope, because there are health issues,i do know been there done that,so just keep on fooling yourselves. You will find out in the long run.
I had a friend nearly die while driving stoned. He was so high that he actually drove straight through a curve and drove off of a cliff. We may not hear much about this but stoned people cause accidents. I also know several people that are all but brain dead after 25+ years of contionous pot smoking. One cannot even spell his own daughter's name. He cannot even spell the word 'daughter'. He cannot even get her age right. He also has serious bouts of rage. He used to be a great guy with a successful buisness. Now he lives in a motor home smoking pot and living a lonely life. I do not engage in recreational drug use so I cannot speak from personal experience, but those of you who do are delusional if you believe there are no harmful side effects! I am glad you decided to quit.:)

Smoking for 17 years now. Well into my 30s.

I feel my life is pretty well composed. Married to a beautiful wife (doesn't partake in smoking) who doesn't mind my weekend hobby. We have a great time. My kids are doing great at the ages of 5 and 3. My memory is fine. I drive fine. I act normal. Have a great job and almost finished paying off the house.

Quite a few of my buddies who smoked with me as a teen still smoke to this day. We all turned out fine.

Just wondering what silly wiki articles most of the people getting these 'facts' are from.
The official government test that was conducted on people back in the day showed no ill effects other then general happiness and a larger appetite for food.

Ever wonder what type of paper some of the most iconic and important documents that establishe this country were written on? Look it up, you may be in for a shock.

Have a great day.:)

Most people don't care. They only think of what they would and wouldn't do. They can't just let others live in the way "they" choose to live. They must judge and say that it's wrong... come up with uninformed justifications for their logic like "the family must be suffering because of your drug use," "your health must be suffering"... etc. Meanwhile the persecutor drinks, smokes, eats too many unhealthy foods... and if you turned their logic on them "the family must be suffering because of your poor lifestyle"... they won't hear it because all they can do is judge and not look in the mirror to see that they are not perfect in any way.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
