The good news in Carbondale is...They have started
work on the 2nd floor of our new PIONEER PLAZA HOTEL...The bad news is...We are losing THE MARION
COMMUNITY HOSPITAL due to its closing in February
2012....Maybe our (Carbondale) 5 year plan committee can look into attracting a suitor for the
hospital and it can remain open under new owners or
reopen at a later date, under new ownership?
