You think Cemex sold there employees out look at hanson we gave are oakland plant to central and they merged us with mission valley in sunol only 3 guys work on an average they laid off the bottom 20 guys on the list. most of the workers that where friends of the union reps are now working for central.We sold out to central.If your not in good with the union or hanson management your black balled by both.

Well at least cemex seems to be consistent. They've screwed people all over the country.I worked in 4 counties,moved nine times,seven different locations,over twenty years and got laid off with more seniority than anyone.they have no ehtics. these little punks they hire out of college are running the place into the ground.i wasted the best years of my life,like a dumb ass.old people out there keep your kids away from the industry period.

I have worked for Cemex in the UK for 2.5 years now and can honestly say they are the worst employer I have ever had and they treat there customers even worse, lucky for me I leave very soon to go to what can only be a better job and won't miss the Cemex Way one bit.

ditto on all these comments I have read. cemex took a great company to work for and managed to completely destroy it. Lives have been forever altered; those of use close to retirement get to work many more years thanks to the 'generous' and 'humane' managers at cemex who keep their friends, relatives and kiss asses working rather than the experienced, loyal and long time employees.

i worked for rinker for a long time and loved the company,pay,managment.then cemex came and took over.Everything i loved went to SHIT.they fired our dispatcher,without her the company was lost and confused.luckily for me and my family i quit and became a car hauler.In the last 2 years cemex has closed 8 plants and laid off countless drivers just to put in their drivers(theyre all mexican idiots)i really wish Rinker wouldnt have sold.good luck to everyone still with cemex,if u get a chance to get out i suggest do it.the guys i know whom are still there somehow are only getting 25-30hrs a week.i dont know how you guys do it.

Police brutality is common but good because it is needed and it works. We go into gang member's apartments and look for cash, guns, packs of matches, knives and property to sell for cash and that is cool and fun. It is a fringe benefit to our careers as law enforcement. I love this job and I plan to keep it for the rest of my life!

i just recieved a letter in the mail congratulating me on my fifteen yr.anniversary...........six months late....... but due to economic stress there are no more service awards.i honestly recieved this the very day that four new company cars showed up at our facility and the very day i happened upon the expense report for one month for the carolinas..........totalling over 45000 dollars.they make me want to puke.

yes they just puled this stuff on Tucson . closing all the union plants (rinker) and keeping the non union open . suprise CEMEX STRIKES AGAIN . please dont buy from this company . Ruining many families and good people

Before Cemex Rinker had well over 250 drivers in Las Vegas. Now there are under 25, most working part time. My career down the drain. Viva Mexico

Just retired after nearly 44 years as owner driver. With 7 different companies since 1967 (due to takeovers) but Cemex are the worst by far. Totally clueless management from top to bottom. Anyone who is any good moves on or is sacked for not toeing the Cemex line. Good luck to the rest of you wherever you are in the world.
