If this is the flea market in the old Target at Forest Hill and Military trail, it is pretty good. I liked the clothes and pet bird available, but it is mostly latin influenced........

I have been in the Market for three years and have only seen it grow. We started with one booth and currently have five. I have seen allot of vendors come and go..many who dont know what they are doing, who start a business with a dollar in their pocket and thirty items on the shelf. They dont know how to run a business coming late or just not opening. Those of us here who work hard for our money, show up on time, stock a good variety of items and are here to stay. I can give you dozens of examples of other vendors who have come here and made their money... AND ARE MAKING MONEYthe market has grown, the management is trying, they could improve a bit and have made some mistakes in the past which I would have done handled differently but overall its been a good experience..We plan to be here for years to come and next season we are planning to take two more booths for new product we are bringing in. Their are always bad apples in every batch which will not make it anywhere, unfortunately they are the ones that scream the most and hurt everyone in their path. I have been in different flea markets over the past twenty years and I can tell you that this is a good one!

That's the problem with flea markets everywhere today. In the beginning a flea market had different people setting up all the time and it was like a giant yard sale. Now they've all turned into these mini-marts with so-called "business people" selling cheap made junk from overseas supply companies. Even the toys most of them sell are no good and folks just waste their money.
Thankfully some states are beginning to crack down on these alleged "business people" for selling inferior products, safety recall violations, and other issues. One guy was even selling locally caught native trout in the Carolinas. He now has a private room at a state prison.
Flea markets can be alot of fun, and profitable if they are run the right way. I sure hope they get back to that someday.

I have been going to this flea market for a few months now on and off. I have to agree with most about it being dirty and empty and just poorly organized. However in the past month I have seen a positive change. There seems to have been some new hires in the management area who appear to really be making an effort to make things better for vendors and customers. I also just want to make a quick comment to Bargain City in Miami Florida....I have to belive you work for Sunshine Flea Market being either the Manager Ronnie or the contact person Candy because the exact comment is written on every message board where it is possible to make a comment about the Flea Market. If it is you at least be represent yourself honestly.

okay I've been going to this flea market about every weekend for months, there are some vendors that are freindly and some that are just straight predjudice, you can only really get along with someone unless you buy something from them and when you just go to look, they give you a dirty ass look as if you're stealing or something,: when i went to by a shirt that had to be worth like $8 the lady tried to charge me $18 for it and the pants that were worth $10 at another vendor she tried to charge me $25 ..I just laughed at her and walked away ,I could of went to GOODWILL and bought 6 outfits for the price she was charging me.... And that chinese guy in the back with all that cheap shit in the boxes will steal your money and not give you a receipet!!! cause i accidenly gave him $5 and asked for it back and he tried to deny it..... Oh yea DON'T GET A TATTOO THERE..it would be better to spend an extra $50 bucks to get a tattoo from a PROFESSIONAL than someone who can't make tattoos to save his life and you'd just feel regretfull for the disaser on your skin,.........

I hate to hear the negative thoughts on this market. I am sure it isn't "perfect" for everyone, but it really is a fun place to visit and enjoy the many things it has to offer. It is like many other markets I have visited, with many vendors and many items to choose from. A good selection, and language really isn't a barrier. Yes, it appears to be predominantly Hispanic. But English is commonly spoken.
I am used to outdoor flea markets, and when I walked in, I wasn't expecting much. I am glad to say that I was take by surprise. Yes, it is an indoor market, but they did a good job in setting it up and keeping the flow moving, but still allowing for a great flea market experience. There is something for everyone in there, and great prices to be found!
A note about the people with complaints on pricing and cleanliness: It is set up as a flea market, not a department store. Just keep that in mind, and I believe that any negative comments will fall into perspective.
An additional note: The food that my daughter and I enjoyed was delicious. The ladies were friendly and helpful.
I would like to see more information made available on this market, what it has to offer, times, etc. Perhaps they can have live entertainment events?? I can hardly wait to go for another visit!

I have been shopping this flea market for a while now and wow have I ever seen a big change..it has come a long way..lots of fun, plenty of "good" vendors and my kids love to go on the weekend for all the fun with the bounce house, pony rides and every thing for kids..the food court is always full and the food (expecially) the 1st one when you walk in is soooo good....this is a fun and enjoyable flea market and I'm sorry to see that some people do not enjoy it. most vendors have good items and good prices..your always going to have one bad apple in the bunch..the majority of the vendors are great...if u haven't visited this market in a while you need to..you'll be surprised how much fun you'll have and the money you'll save.
it's better than walking outside in the heat looking at junk!

Ronnie and company are nothing but scumbags. I have been shorted on my paycheck twice, and they don't give a damn. The air conditioning went out for a week and Ronnie just told the vendors - "oh well". The have 5 managers just sitting on their ass. The place is dirty...what do you expect when you only pay the maintenance man $8.30/hr and everybody else minimum wage. You pay minimum wage, you get minimum work. A faucet in the men's room broke 3 weeks ago, they just fixed it this week, cheap bastards. Can't wait to get a better job so that I can come back and slash all those a@@holes tires and do some major damage for all the bullsh@t I have had to put up with!!

I totally disagree with the tattoo comment its a completely NEW BUSINESS owned by a different artist. I've gotten my art with Jay and can honestly say he is passionate about his work, shop is clean and has variety of choices but best of all he does free-handed work which not many people do these days.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
