Masilotti treated like 'family' but scorned by others

To Pahokee Mayor J.P. Sasser, Tony Masilotti was the first Palm Beach County commissioner who deigned to visit the Glades communities, learn people's names there and fight for local projects like a town ...

Sure does tell you a lot about the town of Pahokee. The mayor's so entrenched with what little this corrupt politician has done for his gas stop town that blindness reigns about him. And how about the development of Western Palm Beach county, which will soon resemble Pembroke Pines west of I-75! Politicians, development and corruption. They all go hand in hand!

Pahokee.
I would not name sewage plant after this guy.
25 years from now nobody is going to give a crap.

In Broward I'm sure Jenne is going to get his name on something.
Any suggestions?

This subject has a forum link at blogger.com and also at mbcn (more bad cop news). I am not too computer savvy but ssume that Topix.net does not feel this story was worth a discussion,(not enough interest????)They did have one but apparently removed it.

Dated: 11-02-06: Tony Masilotti is [NO] different than all of the rest of the Palm Beach County Government employees and officers! The whole thing is nothing more than a Cover-Up and a vicious Con Game of major proportions![NO] lawyer in the state of Florida is even professionally licensed to even practice law, believe it or not? And Governor Bush will not even admit to that as being either fact or fiction! Mr. Miller of his office told me that the Florida Bar Examiners issued law licenses but when I contacted that quasi agency,[NO] such thing I was told in a tape recorded conversation! There is [NO] such thing as a lawyer or an attorney, it is all a mere deceptive Scam and more fabricated BS! lowiq47@aol.com...Contact me for valid proof of what I have stated here for pure valid evidence... God Bless lowiq47@aol.com

My mother was one of the injured victims of the accident caused by Detective Michael Alayon. Her car is the small gold one that is often seen on news videos of the event, with my mother on the stretcher surrounded by officers and firemen. After the initial impact, her car stalled and she was trapped inside while cars repeatedy rammed and buffeted her. My mother has been so traumatized by this accident that she has nightmares nearly every night and she sleeps in a recliner in the living room because her body hurts too much to lay flat on the bed. If any of you believe in Jesus, please pray for her health and her emotional peace. Thank you.- Rev. Jim Cunningham kjv_gods_word@yahoo.com

I am a police officer and I am sure some of you are too. I am distressed and embarrassed by what has happened regarding the M. Alayon Crash. I don't know what was going through his mind, besides alcohol and I would hope that, if in the same situation I would react better, more humanely. The families of Mr. Nye and the injured are in my prayers and I want to see justice done. I would like to say this though, not in anyone's defense but just to say it. Anyone that drinks has probably gotten into the car and driven when they should not have and by the grace of G-d got home without incident or arrest. It is easy to believe all of us would do things differently but none of us were there, inebriated, not thinking clearly and panicked when the crash happened. I would hope I would do better but I am sure a million things go through your clouded brain and panic hits and fight or flight takes over and a bad decision is made, or 10 of them. I hope the officer didn't realize that Mr. Nye was thrown and killed, because the idea that he did and ran instead of trying to help makes me sick to my stomach. The State Attorney's office will go for the maximum sentence, as they should, and tack on as many other charges as possible, as they should and officer Alayon will likely be behind bars until the day he could have retired form the department.

The Palm Beach County commission has lost all scope of what they should be doing as P.B.C commissioners ! They are not land barons and should look at keeping the county as a affordable place to live, not driving up TAXES so high you can't live in your own home ! They are nothing more than over payed money wasting non accountable employees of the Tax payers YOU & I ! if I blew the money they have blown on ( F ) ups like scrips I would be under the jail looking up !! Masilotti got caught and the rest of them are SH__ING their pants trying to shift the blame and finger pointing at other items and other people. All of them and I mean all should be ousted from office today and sent to jail with their buddy Tony M. You can't tell me they did not know what he was doing ? but thought or hoped he would not get caught. Tony M. posed the challenge to the Palm Beach Post if he had done something wrong he would resign well buddy be real careful, see what happened your gone and the Post is still printing papers .

I just want to say that I feel very bad for the family of Mr.Nye and i pray and wish them for peace and comfort. But I personally know Mr. Alayon and he is not the "crazy killer" that is being protrayed. I dont know any details on the case nor do i live in florida. but i know his character and his family. and he is a great man. If he indeed had anything to do with this accident im sure he will get the facts out and straightened. I dont know what anybody would do in this situation until you are in it. so we have to keep that in mind. I just pray for him and his family as well as all the victims.

I think everyone is being extremely harsh, calling him a killer, do you think he went out with the intensions of somebody dying. You can not point your fingers if you have never been in the situation, it is one thing knowing whats right and what you should do, on a clear mind, but imagine actually being in the situation, emotions are running wild, you are scared, you panic, god only knows what your reaction will be. I truly am sorry for the family of the people injured and that died in the accident, but you should also take into consideration, Michael Alayon also has a family, is human and makes mistakes. Ruining his life is not going to change what happened that night. I believe everyone has their time to go, unfortunately it was nye's time, however it wouldve happened, it is in gods fate that it was his time. Officer Alayon made a mistake, Giving him 30 years of federal prison is pretty much ending somebodys life for something they did not do on purpose. Imagine it was your son or father in this situation and everyone was being so hard on them over an accident.

hey MMA, you say to imagine if it were our family that drove DRUNK and caused and accident that KILLED and INJURED INNOCENT people... HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF ONE OF THOSE INJURED/KILLED PEOPLE WERE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER?!?!? and the FACT that he FLED THE SCENE does NOT say much for his character... if someone injured or killed your family member then fled the scene wouldn't you want justice for their actions? come on now...

Uh he ran because he has a history of drinking. Long ago, it was well known on his job but they promoted him anyway.

Mr. Cunningham
What they are not telling you is the detective had a long history of drinking, they all hid it. You may want to check into that.
Will be praying for your mom.

You help restore my faith in the service. Not many do. There are some incredibly good cops here. It is sad when one comes along and tosses the hard work most do out the door with the public. The detective was selfish and self centered in a million ways. Towards everyone. What bothers most, is he is more aware of the laws than anyone else, knows and has seen the consequences of DUI, and likely did reports in the force over them. He is not like most as you stated or on the same level with common residents.

You on the other hand...have not denied, or have not chosen to come up with some lame excuse none of us will buy or try to cover up. There are still some good men out there people.

Getting behind the wheel of a car while drinking is no ACCIDENT. It is a choice. Alayon HAD a choice. Rick Nye now has no choice.

Intent? He had the intention to drink and drive. His "INTENT" caused all of this.
