Democratic Club endorses candidates in Aug. 26 primaries

All that you say that are the reason you are not supporting Nikolits for re-election is old news. The county commissioners are angry at him. Why you ask... Because he would not do favors for them in lowering their friends property I bet if he did lower their friends property you would bit.. about that too. As for saying he does not get along hell we have never met eye to eye on anything so how can we expect anyone else too. Have you missed our meetings? We don't get along with our own. I have met Mr. Nikolits he is a very pleasant person you sure got this wrong.

I read the Sun Sentinel article on the Boca/Delray Dem Club's endorsements. No real surprises. It looks like the challenger, Lisa Small, keeps racking up the endorsements against Diana Lewis, the incumbent. The only endorsement she did not get was from BIG BUSINESS (BIZPAC), which endorsed Lewis; also, not surprising, Since BIZPAC'S administrative secretary is also Lewis's campaign manager.

You got to be kidding! Machek is an old man who needs a job. Term limits has made him unemployed...At 70 + he ought to go raise some more flowers and retire to a rocking chair on the farm and maybe a little fishing. He has absolutely no idea how to run an appraiser office...leave that to Nikolits with years and years of experience and knowledge. Machek's endoresments is a shame to all the civic and political organizations who support qualified candidates.Nikolits is clearly the people's choice for those that vote for honesty and integrity. I am a democrat and I am disappointed that partisan politics rule of Nikolits superior qualifications. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Democratic Club endorses Machek over Nikolits. What's the big news here? Machek is a Democrat, Nikolits is not! Same goes for Hansen. Democrat clubs would lose their charters if they endorsed anything other than a Democrat. Reporter Hollis should know that and stop writing this dribble as news.

The By-Laws of our Lake Worth Democratic Club do not permit any Democrat to endorse any candidate in a Primary. This Club, in my opinion, did the wrong thing. Whether or not your By-Laws permit this, you are pitting one good Democrat against another and taking sides before a candidate is chosen. I am totally ashamed by this and I feel that the DEC should do something about it.

This club is out of compliance with party rules. Democrats are not allowed to support one Democrat against another in any elections. Of course the Appraiser's race is non-partisan but who is kidding whom here. And this is not the only Democratic Club out of compliance, Palm Beach Democratic Club has also endorsed one Democrat against another. The Florida Democratic Party and the Palm Beach County Democratic Executive Committee needs to inform this club that it is out of line. This is despicable.

Why am I not surprised a Dem Group endorsed a Dem? Gary R. Nikolits is a honest guy and deserves to keep his seat!
