You mention that the music is "blaring". This is THE UNDERSTATEMENT of the year. Never will I go back to hurt my already damaged hearing. Not even if they pay me!!!

I have been wanting to try the restaurant for a long time. I am a huge fan of tapas. It was the worst dining experience I have had in years!!! The food was just ok. And the service was worst of all. And the manager was not friendly or apologetic when confronted about my disappointment. I often choose restaurants that are Zagat rated and this was my first Zagat rated restaurant that I was disappointed in. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Go to any other restaurant in downtown Hollywood, but don't go to this one!

I found this restaurant through a google search. My fiance had returned from spain and we were craving a good paella. In my esperience I had yet to find a good paella cooked the right way, in south Florida. I read a not so good review of La barraca but decided to try it anyway. To say the least, I do not regret it! We were greeted very warmly by the hostess. We ordered a pitcher of sangria which was delightful. We ordered some tapas that included serrano ham, chorizo and manchego cheese. And finally...the best seafood paella that I have ever had! The show was magnificent. The chef really is a Salvador Dali in the kitchen. I made a point of trying some of the dishes in the review and I beg to disagree. Try it for yourselfl. You will not regret it and I do plan to return!!!!
