Yes Roger, really. The whole thing was handled like crap, Kanye was done in a matter of seconds and the kid was starting to finish her acceptance speech and they cut from one thing to another, started the music and pulled back, total panic moves. The planned stuff they zoom in on, and don't cut away. And since it was another artist, and not a stranger jumping on stage, and he wasn't cursing or whipping his dick out, hitting the dump button wasn't necessary. The dump button is to avoid fines for FCC violations, not to avoid uncomfortable moments. Plus it was on cable tv, not broadcast, more latitude. So really Roger, I don't believe this was planned by the show and all involved. Really.

Ummm, you're probably thinking about Carrie Underwood or Kelly Pickler. Taylor Swift was never on American Idol as a contestant. However, I do think she performed as a guest once.
