I doubt the people on the jury know who is telling the truth either. Sounds like the another waste of taxpayer money. If they are all lying I can see where they get that from. Did you see the Chiefs testimony? Wow is he a idiot. You think he would have known what they were hinting at after the third time they asked him the question about his son in law.

The best is that Munhall hired his son-in-law and is now a Munhall cop!!

How?

Whats the purpose of a background check?

I guess now West Mifflin will hire Ilgenfritz after he resigned from Munhall!!!

yeah so were so suppost to be believe one of missigs closest buddys that he was told to lie by a FBI agent who also investigated the former chief who plead guilty to corruption. sounds like this county detective has a problem with telling the truth on the stand. is'nt that pergury? sounds like missigs group of friends are all dirty cops. they should be charged after missig goes to prison.

sounds like an idiot. but how about the 2 county detectives. houy & mullen. these 2 who are close friends of missigs were actually stupid enough to take the stand and lie for missig. i've heard about these 2 and they seem very shady. perjury anyone?

Those are all very good points but one has to wonder why the FBI investigator, who started this, is not even in the state let alone in the courtroom. It would be nice to hear his testimony. Which leads me to ask if the case is so strong why didnt the feds keep it. They are always bragging about their 97.7% conviction rate. Why did they pass it back to the state? All I know is that if I were sitting on jury my head would be spinning. Good luck to them.

There is no doubt in my mind that corruption existed within the WMPD, hopefully that has been or soon will be rectified. If Missig was Diener's right hand man as some have testified to I find it hard to believe that he had NO knowledge of Diener's wrongdoings, however whether he contributed to these wrongdoings remains to be seen. Maybe the FEDS were out to get Missig for not rolling over on Diener. Has anyone thought of that. I agree with free carl about the jury, we have dreug dealers against cop,
cop against cop, county detective against FBI. My prediction, not guilty on all counts. Too many contradictions of testimony for a conviction.

He quit the West Mifflin police department since the WM detectives were doing an investigation on him for thief. When confronted he resigned from WM police.

That just means there is another rat in West Mifflin. That was kept a secret for a long time. Maybe their is a double agent in the force or a politically motivated one. Well at least with the chiefs perjury the citizens of the neighboring boroughs dont have to worry about him if his daughter crashes into them.

for a retired cop you seem kind of clueless. you said "no doubt there was corruption in the department" and that of course led to the FBI probe. now that its coming to light you think its to confusing for a jury and that missig should be found not guilty? what kind of cop were you? any person with average intelligence can figure this one out. You dont aquit a felon because the trials confusing. idiot

speaking of rat have you ever heard of all the people that missig ratted on and tried to get fired when diener was chief? this guy screwed half of the department for years. why do you think no WM cops showed up at the trial to show there support for missig. he was very well hated by everyone and believe me if he goes to jail there will be no weeping eyes.

Citizen, first off, it seems you have something against police officers, that is another issue and before you question someone else's intelligence you should review your own posts. Second, suspecting corruption and proving it are two different things. Third, Nepotism exists in all job arenas, not just the WMPD and I am not certain that is a crime. Fourth, I never said that the trial was confusing, I stated that there were "Too many contradictions of testimony. Confusing is your word. Fifth, Mr. Diener was convicted on Federal charges per the FBI probe, not Mr. Missig as as I stated previously the question remains whether Mr. Missig contributed to Diener's wrongdoings. Obviously the Feds thought they could not prove it as NO federal charges were brought upon to Mr. Missig.
Also, don't be a typical internet pussy when you throw out comments like" speaking of rat have you ever heard of all the people that missig ratted on and tried to get fired when diener was chief? this guy screwed half of the department for years"
Who did Mr. Missig screw? Who did he try to get fired? Did he screw you and that is why you hate him?
This forum is about discussion, not to spew hate
that you seem to have for law enforcement and Mr. Missig specifically.
Again, be a man and don't hide behind the anonymity of the internet when you make direct accusations against an individual.
