Did you tell the Management? I have visited Froggy's on many occasions. I know some of the servers and they are very professional. I am not an employee just a "happy customer" I would have asked for the Manager or at least called them the next day and voiced my displeasure. I would not post on a public form.

I think that it is perfectly fine to post a review of a local business on here. My Froggy's experiences have been mediocre at best due to the poor service. But, the food was always fine.

I have noticed a change as of lately with debbie. She has always seemed to be very nice, attentive and pleasant. Lately she acts like she could give a shit. I seen her kind of rude, disinterested and seemed like she did not want to be there.
Im not sure whats going on but its not good.

I was there a couple of weeks ago with some friends. I have to say that the food that we had was good, but they were busy that night. My hubby used to work as an accountant for a restaurant and always said that when business is slow, the service is bad. I've only been there a couple of times and each time it must have been on the right night, but I cerainly understand the issues discussed here. If a business puts all that money into a pool bar and expects folks to dine and continue to dine there, the most important issues incluede the quality of food and service.

Never go back wrote: Can you describe her? I think she may be the one that brought out the disgusting salad. I have visited Froggys often. I love it!! The owners are alway great and the staff works very hard. The food has always been good. Sounds like you are a cry baby that loves to cry. So you had one bad day. That would not stop me from trying again. Sounds like the owners tried to make it right by not charging for the mistakes. It has 2 bars in it. Get off your lazy butt and go order you a drink. I hope you dont come back! I hate to go places that have cry babies and you sound like one. Froggys is not for youso stay home never go back!!

And I for one am happy that he saved me the time and money of going to a substandard establishment. Thank you. And welcome to the 21st century. Word of mouth is now done my computer and the internet.

Business lost, without the chance to make it right. As I said, I have been to Froggy's many times, and I am a "happy customer" and NO I am not an employee. Try it "Fleet" you might enjoy the food and service, the outside pool bar is great on a 90 degree day.

Maybe the management needs to read this thread. Customer service does need improved. They definitely need to work on that. They can also work on food prep. Chips appearing stale is from the steam in the kitchen. Lettuce being wilted...same thing. That is an easy fix. Calling people stupid and cry baby is not helping your case. Telling people not to go back is a contradiction to the purpose of having a business. Just work on the complaints and the customer base will improve and negative reviews of Froggy's won't appear on Topix.

I just want to go and check out the joint sometime when its not swamped with folks, and have a cold draft, maybe a appetizer, I'll not have any reason for a repeat visit this season either, just want to see whats new at the lake. I believe the OP went in with high expectations of the joint, and did in fact, recieve bad food & service, with a twist of "Buyers Remorse" Some of the old school bussines are really super there and its great to see all the improvements round the lake area.

Never go back wrote: Wife and I decided to try out Froggy's a few weeks ago on a Wednesday.....we were less than pleased with our visit. We realize that Froggy's is in no way any type of fine dining establishment, but we did expect casual, fun, bar type food and attentive service. Here is how it went for us: We were attended to fairly quickly, but things went swiftly downhill from that point. There were 2 waitpersons outside on the patio when we were seated but the the attention to our table was not the greatest, even though the crowd was very light. My wife ordered a house salad and an "Angus Burger", I opted for the tenderlion sandwich platter. We recieved our two beers and waited. Eventually a tall woman brought out the salad. It was quite dissapointing. The greens were very old, and the bottom of the bowl was filled with wilted, rotten, nasty greens. Eventually we got the attention of our waitress (the wait staff seemes extremely busy desipte the dearth of customers) and pointed it out to her. She offered to replace it but my wife really was no longer in the mood for salad after that experience. By now we were ready for two more beers but the waitress had scampered off with the salad before we could advise her of this. The charges for the salad were removed from the check. After an extended wait, a young man brought out the "Angus burger" and my tenderloin, plopped them down in front of us, and scampered off. Looking at my plate I realized I did not recieve my cole slaw, but there was no one to point this out to as again, all the waitstaff was occupied elsewhere and not on the patio. And again I wish to point out this was on a Wednesday and there were no more than 3 tables of customers on the pation, no one seated in the covered area, and few customers inside. Eventually our waitress appeared, I got her attention and inquired about the cole slaw...this time I was able to ask her to bring two more beers before she left. A short time later she did reappear with the slaw and the beers. As for the sandwiches... The "Angus Burger" was very overcooked, even though it was ordered medium. It was well done if not very well done. It also seemed to contain some sort of filler (suspicious soy protien flavor?) and lacked any of the juicy, meaty, grilled taste one would expect. The chips that accompanied the burger were limp and stale, as if the bag had been left open several days. The tenderlion was as expected, no problem. While eating, no one ever asked how our food was or checked on us after the slaw/beers were dropped off, and again I want to stress that the business was NOT at all busy. We finished our food, and thought we would hang around a short while and at least enjoy another beer and the weather before leaving. No such luck....we waited and waited, but a waitress never came by. Eventually our waitress did show up, drop off the check, and scamper off. We paid and split. In short, the service at Froggy's was lacking in any attention to the customer, the food was well below subpar, and the staff missed several opportunities to build our check. We cannot think of a single reason to return for a second visit. I would just like to explain to "Never go back". I was your server that night and I am very sorry that you did not have a good experience. I love my job and my customers and would like to make sure that all of my customers are happy with the service and food. Even though we did not look busy on the patio we also have more customers inside to attend to. There were only two of us working that night and a large area to cover. I can assure you that we try to take care of all of our customers. I would also like to explain that the young man that delivered your food was just someone that works in the kitchen and when we are busy, they will deliver the food to the tables. He is not a server. So once again, I am very sorry for your experience and hope to see you try us again.

Never go back wrote: Thanks for response... First let me say I am very familiar with the restaurant business...and regrdless of what the dim wit above has stated (who obviously is somehow connected to Froggy's) we didn't have unrealistic expectations as far as the type/quality of food served.... I really don't put too much of the blame on you, it's really more of a with the (lack of) management. Regardless of who was acting as a food runner or expo he should have been trained to make certain the order was complete and correct prior to bringing it out to the customer. They should also ask the customer if everything is correct and if anything else is needed...If they cannot or are unwilling to do that they need to stay in the kitchen (or look for a more suitable job elsewhere). Same goes for the older lady that brought out the nasty salad...that was another drop and run. Don't really know what her position there was that evening, but she really din't seem too busy other than avoiding the ouside customers. I put zero blame for the quality of the food on you as a server, you just serve what the managment puts on the menu and the cooks fry up, so it's out of your hands. Again, that "Angus burger" was really over done and has to be full of soy protein, and as for the salad, that should never have left the kitchen. Not your fault, it's management's. Even with the food issues we would have been happy to stay a while and enjoy the evening with a few more Bud Lights, but never got the chance. After waiting quite a while (with our bottles empty) we kinda lost the mood to stay there. I could go on about this, but I really do thank you for responding and wish you nothing but the best. Wow you can write and complain. I have nothing to do with Froggys bar except I am a customer. You are right i am a dimwit. You sound like a rich snooty older person. Im sure you are perfect and if you ran the show things would also be perfect. I love froggys and will continue to love it. Nice apology server! Sometimes you cant talk to cry babies.

I am in no way surprised about the original post on this thread. I just cannot believe it has not happened sooner. I think that for the last few years now, Froggy's has gotten away with mediocre food at best (that they have tried to duplicate from other local establishments and steal business from) and poor management by the owners! When the attitude in the customer service department seems to be that the business does not owe anyone anything, word will get around. And this attitude is indicated by Debbie's empty, standard, "canned" apology! There are security cameras recording all over that bar. Debbie could have reviewed the tape of the time period when Never go back was there and known EXACTLY what happened during he and his wife's visit. It would be easy to find out who served them their spoiled salads and who brought out their overcooked sandwich. And she also would have known how long their bottles sat empty! In my opinion, the emphasis at this point is not on how well Froggy's employees serve their customers, but what they look like in their sleazy uniforms! They have had excellent employees in the past that were top-notch at taking care of their customers. But Debbie and Keith's attitude that EVERYONE is disposable and can be replaced has cost them those employees and has finally caught up with them. Well, it's about time! Money is precious in this day and age, why spend it at a business that clearly does not seem to respect you as a customer and couldn't care less if you come back or feel valued? An appreciative, conscientious business owner's reply to Never go back's e-mail would have been a gift certificate (and personal apology) waiting for him behind the bar to be picked up at his convenience! Never go back: Thank you for your honest and informative review of this local bar's service and food. You apparently know what you are talking about. I value your educated opinion and appreciate your insight. Server: As a former server, please take my sincere advice.(I put myself through college waiting tables and tending bar, so I do know what I am talking about.) I commend you for publicly apologizing for giving Never go back and his wife poor service. But you should have stopped with an apology and quit while you were ahead. There is NO excuse for giving your customers poor service, no matter how busy you are! Now go and find a job at an establishment where your willingness to publicly apologize for poor service is appreciated by management that will support it's servers and highly regard their efforts by scheduling enough people to give EVERY customer the experience they deserve! Oh, and hey Cry Baby: Your post is a typical example of the despicable attitude that has spewed from Froggy's and infested the rest of the Lake! You just keep up the great P.R. work for Froggy's, you're doing a wonderful job! And just for the sake of firing you up...you better believe that we "rich snooty" people will steer clear of the cesspool at Froggy's where apparently you are too unrefined (or drunk) to care if customers are treated like dirt!

Cry baby this is a forum. People have the right to say how they feel about an issue. without being called names. All you had to do is stated your opinion just like the person Happy Customer. why attack? it sounds like you are a regular customer, and those customer do get treated much better than someone they don't know. I am sure the ones inside are most likely the regulars so they got the most attention. I have been in there many times when it has been busy. I would standing in line for a drink, someone behind me gets waited on before me because they are regulars and knew them by name.
