I remember $.25 and $.10 beer nights @ 1896. The basement in that place was wild, never spent too much time upstairs as that's where you were more likely to get punched for existing. Dear lord that had to be the most efficient and effective way to get loaded, and they would sell you as many 6oz plastic cups of Natural Light as you could carry. Any time people from out of town came to visit me at Marshall I'd treat them to as much of that shit as they could choke down before stumbling back home to my shack on the corner of 14th St. and 7th Avenue.

Here's one I didn't see mentioned, Daddy's Money. If I recall correctly, and there's absolutely no reason why I should, they had a drinkin' with Lincoln all you could drink special for a fiver. The lines were horrific at the bar so you had to make your orders count. I remember the whiskey and cola being Old Crow and Coke. I'm reminded of my fondness for those things every evening I find my tongue with a 5 o'clock shadow.

Lastly, wasn't there a Duds 'n' Suds beside Double Dribble? A laundry mat that served beer, best idea ever. Clean clothes and good times abounded.

Keep Huntington real people, if only in your memories.
I know you

Those were the good ole days. They even had a teen club in the basement of the building on the corner of 4th & 9th st plaza, can't remember the name. And, true, no one got shot going to these places.

Does anyone remember the old bar on Route 60 just past camden park as you were headed into ceredo? It was a white cinder block building and sat on the right side of the road, across from the lime deposit place, it sat almost right up on the road. I think it caught fire and was eventually torn down. I grew up in westmoreland, i remember it, but I cant remember it's name..
...Course 1896 and Yancy's were my favorites,
