LETTERS: Food inspections, drinking limits,more

Even though, i love Long Island where i live. I have always thought that there are a few things i never understood about the place where i live.Why are there companies who hire only imagrants, more so illegal immagrants more than just the avarage person who tries really hard to excel in the work force. But then again, why are there companies out there who would rather hire a twenty something year old who's thin with a healthy lifestyle. Not to mention some or all college credits, a certification(s) or some qualifications that would be job materialistic. Yet if an older person, with the same qualifications of that twenty something year old who is sort of well rounded or just mildly pro portioned doesn't get that job or does get that job, but gets demoted while the twenty something year old gets promotoed. To me, that's extremly discriminating even when the fact if the older person has more of an education background and would be more suitable for a promotion, rather than a demotion.
With that said about discrimination, why are there employers out there that won't hire people with the slightest handicap. Yet most people think that all people are all created equal, but if those people even spend a day even in the shoes of the people who have a handicap or just the slightest hadicap, then they'll realise that's not true. Most people, are afraid and not open minded as most people. So for the people with any type of handicap, it's really hard to find a full time job.

What makes a person a person of value? The way they conform to our standards of fashion and style or their innate beauty as a human being and as a creation of God. Lots to think about.
